Ein Lächeln für einen Ballon
Greg Tuohy ist ein „Street Singing Musician“ wie
er selbst singt. Der humorvolle Mix aus Musik,
seinen aus der Renaissance inspirierte „Puppet
Show“ und aus dem grossen Sortiment an geformten Ballonfiguren begeistern immer wieder
Hunderte von Zuschauern, ob Gross oder Klein,
auf der Bühne, in den Strassen, an Hochzeiten,
Geburtstagsfeiern, Betriebsanlässen, Geschäftseröffnungen und Festen aller Art.
Bei ihm steht das Publikum, die Gäste im Mittelpunkt und wer lächelt erhält einen Ballon - diesen
Preis ändert er nie.
Als Musiker und Unterhaltungskünstler ist Greg seit mehr als fünfundzwanzig
Jahren mit seiner Gitarre und seinen tanzenden Puppen in den Strassen von
Seattle, San Francisco, New York, Paris, Frankfurt, München, Wien, Bruxelles, Florenz, Luzern, Bern und an der Expo02... unterwegs. Er studierte an
der Uni Washington in Seattle Gitarre und am Seattle Central Comm. College
Musiktheorie.
Er schreibt und komponiert eigene Songs von Balladen bis Soft Rock und
hat bis heute 50 Lieder auf CDs vertont. Die Lieder spiegeln seine weltweite
Erfahrung mit Menschen und Situation wider, die er mit seiner vollen Stimme
und seinem Gitarrenspiel in eindrucksvoller Weise interpretiert.
Der Doppelbürger (Amerikaner/ Schweizer) Greg ist
Vater von zwei erwachsenen Kindern und lebt zusammen mit seiner Ehefrau Liz seit 1985 in Biel /
Bienne (Schweiz).

Un ballon pour un sourire
Greg Tuohy est un troubadourou comme il nous le
dit dansune de ses chansons un „Street Singing
Musician“. Le mélange plein d‘humour de sa musique, de l‘esprit renaissance de ses marionnettes, de son show de ballons qu‘il transforme en
différentes figures,fascine des centaines de gens,
jeunes et vieux, sur scène, dans la rue, lors de mariages, d‘anniversaires, d‘événements de société,
d‘ouverture de magasins, de festivals.
Le publique, les invités jouent en rôle central dans la création de l‘atmosphère
puisque le prix d‘un ballon est un sourire. Comme Greg le dit lui-même: „le
prix ne change pas“.
En tant que musicien et artiste Greg joue de la guitare et chante accompagné par ses marionnettes qui dansent depuis plus de vingt-cing ans dans les
rues de Seattle, San Francisco, New York, Paris, Frankfort, Munich, Vienne,
Bruxelles, Florence, Lucerne, Berne ainsi qu‘à l‘EXPO 02... Greg a étudié la
guitare à l‘Université de Washington à Seattle et la musique au Seattle Central
Comm. College.
Il écrit et compose ses chansons de la Ballade au Soft Rocket a enregistré 50
titres disponibles sur CD. Les textes nous relatent ses expériences à travers
le monde à la rencontredes gens, des circonstances. Inutile de dire que la richesse et la profondeur de la voix de Greg, sa manière de jouer de la guitare,
ses marionnettes, ses ballons, réussissent toujours à attirer la foule.
Double national (Américain/Suisse) Greg est père de
deux enfants adultes et vit avec sa femme Liz depuis
1985 à Bienne en Suisse.

A balloon for a smile
Greg Tuohy is a „Street Singing Musician“ as he tells
us in oneof his songs. The humorful mix of music,
his puppet show inspired by the Renaissance, and
a wide range of balloon figure made from tube balloons, fascinate hundreds of people young and old,
on stage, in the street, at weddings, birthdays, business parties, storeopenings, fairs and festivals.
The audience takes a centralplace in creating the atmosphere as the price of a balloon is one smile. And,
as Greg says himself: „This price never changes.“
As a musician and artist, Greg has been playing guitar and singing with his
dancing puppets more than twenty-five years inthe streets of Seattle, San
Francisco, New York, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Brussels, Florence,
Lucerne, Bern and at the Expo02... He studied guitar at University Washington
in Seattle and music theory at Seattle Central Comm. College.
He writes and composes his own songs, from ballads to softrock, and has
recorded 50 songs to date and produced themon CDs. The songs reflect his
world-wide experiences with people and situations. Needless to say, Greg‘s
deep rich voice and guitar playing, along with his puppets and balloons, always manages to draw a crowd.
With a dual citizenship (American/Swiss) Greg is father of two grown up children and has been living
with his wife Liz since 1985 in Biel (Switzerland).
