KURZE BESCHREIBUNG DER MITGLIEDER
Die RegioTriRhena befindet sich im Länderdreieck Deutschland-Schweiz-Frankreich
am südlichen Oberrhein. Mit 2,3 Millionen Einwohnern bildet der Regio-Raum im
Städteviereck Freiburg (DE) - Basel (CH) - Mulhouse (FR) - Colmar (FR) einen
einzigartigen Verflechtungsraum. Gekennzeichnet ist dieser Raum durch kulturelle
und touristische Verbindungen, Grenzgängerströme, grenzüberschreitende
Firmenniederlassungen sowie durch eine spezifische Verkehrsinfrastruktur mit dem
binationalen 'EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg' und der Schnittstelle von WestOst und Nord-Süd-Verkehrskorridoren im Herzen Europas.

- Weitere Verstärkung der Nachbarschaftsbeziehungen auf einer möglichst

- Förderung der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung durch Thematisierung aktueller

Der RegioTriRhena e.V. wirkt als trinationale und gemischtwirtschaftliche
Informations- und Austauschplattform. Seine wichtigsten jährlichen Aktivitäten
konzentrieren sich auf grenzüberschreitende Vernetzungs- und Austauschprojekte.
WICHTIGSTE JÄHRLICH WIEDERKEHRENDE VERANSTALTUNGEN
- "RegioTriRhena-Konferenz" zu einem wirtschaftsrelevanten oder kulturellen
Schwerpunktthema.

COURTE DESCRIPTION DES MEMBRES
La RegioTriRhena se situe dans le triangle des trois pays Allemagne-Suisse-France
dans la partie méridionale de la région du Rhin supérieur. Peuplé de 2,3 millions
d’habitants, cet espace constitue, dans le quadrilatère des villes de Fribourg-enBrisgau (D), Bâle (CH), Mulhouse (F) et Colmar (F), une zone imbriquée unique en
son genre. Il est caractérisé par des liens culturels et touristiques, des flux de
travailleurs frontaliers, des filiales d’entreprise transfrontalières ainsi que par une
infrastructure de transports spécifique avec l’EuroAirport de Bâle-Mulhouse-Freiburg
binational et l’intersection des couloirs de transport Est-Ouest et Nord-Sud au cœur de
l’Europe.

transfrontalières d’actualité.

La RegioTriRhena e.V. agit en tant que plateforme d’information et d’échange
trinationale d’économie mixte. Ses principales activités annuelles se concentrent sur
des projets transfrontaliers de mise en réseau et d’échange.

- La « conférence de la RegioTriRhena » qui porte sur un thème économique ou

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF MEMBERS
RegioTriRhena is situated at the tripoint of Germany, Switzerland and France on the
southern Upper Rhine. With 2.3 million inhabitants, the Regio area in the four-city
transborder agglomeration of Freiburg (DE), Basel (CH), Mulhouse (FR) and Colmar
(FR) forms an unparalleled area of international integration. Key features of this area
are cultural and touristic ties, cross-border traffic, transborder corporate locations and
a unique transport infrastructure including the binational 'EuroAirport BaselMulhouse-Freiburg' and the junction between the West/East and North/South transit
corridors at the heart of Europe.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES FOR THE FUTURE
- Intensify exchange initiatives with the Basel Eurodistrict and the Region Freiburg /
Central and Southern Alsace Eurodistrict as well as with the Upper Rhine network
of municipalities and the Trinational Metropolitan Upper Rhine Region.
- Strengthen neighbourly relations in a highly citizen-oriented manner.
- Promote economic development by addressing current cross-border issues.
