An instrument among instruments, as a lead player or a guest, Meta creates a mysterious fusion
between his own vocal swells and his partners’ playing. He has brought his unique sound to early
albums with François and Louis Moutin, Michael Felberbaum, and Linley Marthe, and, more recently,
to albums recorded with artists such as Geoffroy de Mazure, Jasser Haj Youcef and Jean-Christophe
Cholet on the project “Nights in Tunisia” and with Samy Thiébault on “Clear Fire.“
Meta has recorded three albums under his name:
Secret History 2001 (Greenjay)
Epigram 2008 (Nocturne)
The Sweetness Of A Saffron Wind 2013. (MVS Anticraft)
The press have said about Clear Fire (Samy Thiébault sextet):
Meta’s unexpected, rich and sandy-sounding voice…
It is a voice used like a new instrumental color.

An extraordinary scatter: Meta, whose vocal work recalls that of Kurt Elling and
Nascimento.
His shaman’s voice ranges from Mongolian diaphonic bass to the high yodeled notes of African
pygmies, creating a whole other wild melody.
