41a - Fishing trips
L'espace exploitable par les pirogues et les
bateaux à moteur est six fois plus vaste que
l'espace exploitable à pied et en plongée. Le taux
moyen d'utilisation de la flotte de pêche est de 41
sorties annuelles par bateau sur l'ensemble de
Vanuatu. Avec 63 % des embarcations, Malakula,
Tafea et Efate sont les trois principaux centres de
pêche embarquée du pays, regroupant 65,3 %
des sorties. Chaque bateau y effectue
respectivement 50, 61 et 112 sorties à l'année
pour un effort global par km2 exploitable partout
égal à 100-130 sorties annuelles. Les BanksTorres présentent également un taux moyen
d'utilisation très élevé, égal à 66 sorties annuelles
par bateau. Totalisant 9 % des sorties du pays et à
peine 4 % des surfaces exploitables, AmbaeMaewo est la région où l'effort de pêche au km2
est le plus intense.
The fishable area within range of dugout
canoes and motor boats is sixfold greater than
that within range of fishermen on foot or skin
diving. The mean fishing fleet utilization rate for
Vanuatu was 41 annual trips/boat. 63% of all
boats were focused in Malakula, Tafea and Efate,
so they were the three main boat fishing centres in
the country. Each boat went out on 50, 61 and
112 fishing trips/year, respectively, for and
overall fishing effort/km of fishable area of 100130 trips annually. The mean fishing fleet
utilization is also very high in Banks-Torres with
66 annual trips/boat. Ambae-Maewo, with 9% of
all trips in the country and barely 4% of the
fishable area, was the region with the most intense
fishing effort/km2.
