Goals of the 18-Month Well-Baby Visit
• Monitor growth and development using the Nipissing District Developmental Screen
(NDDS) and the Rourke Baby Record.
• Address parental concern about healthy child development and behaviour.
• Provide information about parenting and other community programs that promote
healthy child development and early learning.
• Refer to specialized services when needed so children have access to interventions
earlier.
• Develop effective partnerships amongst parents, primary care providers, and
community services.

Community-based mental health program providing
assessment, therapy, support counselling and consultation
for youth from birth to 17 years who are experiencing
psychological, behavioural or emotional difficulties.

Children in Need of Treatment (CINOT) –
Eastern Ontario Health Unit
Provides free urgent and essential dental services to eligible
children aged 17 and under whose parents have no dental
insurance and cannot afford the cost of urgent dental care.
Treatments include fillings, X-rays, extractions, root canals,
and some partial dentures.
