Activities description the 4th International Lakes Zaf
The Swiss Brotherhood of the Coast Suisse is pleased to invite you to the 4th Zaffarancho.
In the weekend of 7 and 8 June, we will celebrate this exciting
meeting in the city "Le Bouveret" on the shores of Lake Geneva
(canton of Valais, Switzerland).
The School of Missions provides us with his facilities in the
house "La Tibériade" (http://www.ecole-des-missions.ch)
where we can stay, celebrate and relax. See location map here
below.
Starting at 5PM on Friday, we welcome the Brothers and Captives who wish to arrive earlier. A
friendly drink will be served, then we can share a meal before returning to our respective
accomodations
Saturday morning the Zafarrancho activities will effectively begin.
After welcoming all, we will join a cargo and sail to enjoy the beautiful
French and Swiss shores of Lake Geneva.
We will land near the wonderful jewel of medieval architecture, the

Château de Chillon (XII-XV century). During this trip we will have the opportunity to share a snack on
board.
It should be noted that the boat we take is the first in the world that
has been equipped with a diesel engine.
Lord Byron in his writings made fame this castle, especially by the
narration of the prisoner Bonivard.
Following the tour of the castle, "The Venoge>" ship will take us back
to our starting point.
Having had time to prepare, The Gala Dinner will be served in the saloons of the house "La
Tibériade".
Sunday morning the Match Race will take place. The idea is to make a match between the various
tables present. We will be competing on Laser boats, each table designating its competitors.
May the best win and this will be a lesson!
For those who prefer culture to sport, a visit to the fabulous "Musée des Barques du Léman" will be
organized. This will let you travel through the history of their usage and design.
There will be time to recover from the efforts or muscle or brain by sharing raclettes or grill at the
Sailing Club Old Chablais. Then, as each of us will poor a tear, promising to meet again as soon as
possible.

How to travel to « Le Bouveret » ?
By car: follow your GPS .... (46o 23.36’ ; 06o 50.73’)
Access by motorway from Geneva or Bern, exit Villeneuve towards Evian

By Plane: Landing in Geneva, then either rent a car there and go to Le Bouveret (approx 110 km,
1h15), or take the train to Vevey or Montreux. Contact the organization who will pick you up at the

Accomodation
There are two housing options. On site, at the house "La Tibériade" or in a hotel nearby.
Please find attached a non-exhaustive list of hotels. Everyone of you being responsible for its own
reservation
For those who want a limited amount of space is available to house "La Tibériade". This is basic
accommodation, without luxury.
The splitting is as follows (breakfast and taxes included)
4 rooms with 2 beds, shower and toilet
per head: CHF 60.-/night
5 rooms with 2 beds, washbasin
per head: CHF 55.-/night
16 rooms single bed, wasbasin
per head: CHF 55.-/night
6 dorms 9 beds (total 54 seats)
per head: CHF 50.-/night
1 dorm 7 beds
per head: CHF 50.-/night
These rooms will be assigned and confirmed to in a base of first booked first served. (see inscription
