They agreed to develop a common policy at the European level. The main objective of this common policy is to better manage migration through a coordinated approach, which takes into account the economic and demographic situation of the Member States. It aims to capitalize on the benefits of legal migration and synergies between migration and development, while fighting against illegal migration and trafficking in human beings. After analyzing recent migration flows and the European migration policy, the course will seek to understand the different factors influencing migration and to analyze its economic impacts.
