Technical Information – Trial - rear disc
Dear Madam, dear Sir,
By this letter we kindly inform you that for all the FIM Trial World Championship, all
participants will need to prepare their motorcycle in conformity with the 2016 FIM
Technical Rules for Trial motorcycles, especially with attention to the following
items:
1. Brake discs
41.03
Brake discs with sharp edges (‘saw-tooth’ design) are forbidden. The maximum
dimensions allowed for openings (slots) will be: diameter of the holes: 6mm; slots:
width 6mm, length 10 mm. (See drawing).
41.04
An external protection made from a plastic material should cover the front and
rear brake discs (fully in the front, partially on the rear). Holes for aeration and
evacuation of materials shall not be more than 10 mm. in diameter or equivalent
area.
2. Minimum Weight
When ballast is required to bring the motorcycle within the minimum weight
requirement, it must be fixed permanently and only by bolts.

Information technique – Trial – disque arrière
Chère Madame, cher Monsieur
Par cette lettre, nous vous informons que pour tous les Championnats du Monde FIM
de Trial, tous les participants devront préparer leur moto conformément au
règlement technique FIM de 2016 pour les motos de Trial, avec une attention
particulière sur les éléments suivants:
1. Disques de freins
41.03
1. Les disques de freins crantés (type« dents de scie ») sont interdits. Les
dimensions maximales autorisées pour les ouvertures (fentes) sont : diamètre des
trous : 6mm ; Fentes : largeur 6mm, longueur 10 mm (voir dessin).
41.04
Une protection externe faite d'un matériau plastique doit couvrir les disques de
freins avant et arrière (complètement à l'avant, partiellement à l'arrière). Des trous
pour l'aération et l’évacuation de substances ne devront pas dépasser 10 mm de
diamètre ou une superficie équivalente.
2. Minimum Weight
Lorsqu’il est nécessaire de lester la moto pour la mettre en conformité avec le
poids minimum autorisé par le règlement, le leste dans être fixé de manière
permanente et seulement par des boulons.
