Coach bus to high school. Arrival at Jean Monnet HS at 1.00pm (approx.)
Meeting with host families or school day with French correspondant.
Thursday, 4/9 > 8:30 a.m. School welcome: breakfast + welcome by Principal and/or
Assistant Principal + Guided tour of school + Courses with French students until 5:30 p.m.
(Lunch with French hosts)
Evening (Pot luck supper) at the high school from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
French families provide food, drink, and entertainment.
Friday, 4/10 > Full day in Paris (1) (French hosts pack lunch)
Leave from train station Montfort at 8:25 a.m. (arrive 9:02 a.m. at Paris-Montparnasse)
• Morning: Montmartre, the Eiffel Tower, the Bateaux parisiens (cruise on the Seine)
• Afternoon: the Catacombes, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Champs-Élysées.
Return at 8:10 p.m. at Garancières (train leaves 7:28 p.m. at Paris-Montparnasse)
Saturday, 4/11
Morning: Visit the Château de Versailles + gardens
Leave in coach bus at 9:00 a.m.
Return to Jean Monnet HS at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, 4/11 (pm) - Sunday 4/12 > With host families
Monday 4/13 > Full day in Paris (2) (French hosts pack lunch)
Leave from train station Montfort at 7:55 a.m. (arrive 8:32 a.m. at Paris-Montparnasse)
• Morning: Visit of the Louvre (9.15am). Lunch in the Tuileries garden.
• Afternoon: Notre-Dame de Paris, le Quartier Latin, Les Invalides.
Return at 8:10 p.m. at Garancières (train leaves 7:28 p.m. at Paris-Montparnasse)
Tuesday 4/14 > Full day Normandy French+Americans (French hosts pack lunch)
Leave school in a coach bus at 6:30 a.m.
• Morning: Visit of the Mémorial de Caen + Arromanches (lunch at Arromanches).
• Afternoon (1.30 pm): Visit of the American cemetery (Colleville-Sur-Mer) + Pointe du Hoc.
Return to the school around 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday, 4/15 (French hosts pack lunch)
> Leave Jean Monnet HS in a coach bus at 8:30am to Gare du Nord.
> Train to Brussels at 11.22am at Paris Gare du Nord.
