Walking Tours in Paris Montmartre Art Attack Stride past saucy Moulin Rouge and Musée du l’Érotisime (1) up shop8 7 lined rue Lepic. Detour left at rue des Abbesses to visit the Cimetiere 9 6 de Monmartre (2) then return to rue Lepec to see van Gogh’s home (3rd 10 12 floor, No.54) (3). Climb rue Tholozé 11 4 until you regain rue Lepic, with its 13 two evocative windmills (4) & (5). 15 Turn left into rue Girardon, cross 5 14 3 2 17 Square St-Buisson (6) and veer right through charming Allée de Broullards (Fog Alley) (7). Descend 16 19 the stairs from Place Dalida into rue 18 St-Vincent, passing the Cimetiere St-Vincent (8). Turn right at the 20 bohemian Lapin Agile (9) and past the vineyard (10). Turn left into rue Cortot, passing Montmartre’s oldest house (now the Musée de Montmartre) (11) and Eric Satie’s 1 house at No 6 (12). Turn right at the water tower (13) and left to reach Sacré Coeur (14) for a stunning vista over Paris. Walk past the funicular station and ancient St-Pierre de Montmartre (15) to touristy Place du Tertre (16). Follow rue Poulbot past the Dali museum (17). Descent the steps from Place du Calvaire (18) into rue Gabrielle, turning right to reach Place Émile Goudeau (19) and, at No 13, the rebuilt Bateau Lavoir studio where Picasso & Co. set up their easels. Take the steps and turn left at rue des Abbesses to reach the Guimard-designed metro station at Place des Abesses (20).
