MORTAR:
We recommend the use a white polymer modified mortar for glass tile with pale colors. You can use
Litefix, Megaflex, or Multiflex. For glass tiles with darker colors, you can use the new mortar Flex GT30 which is light grey. All these products are recommended by Pro1ix for this type of application.
INSTALLATION:
We recommend the use a 1/4'' x 3/8'' square notch trowel for the installation of these glass tiles. It is
important to press the glass tiles firmly on the mortar to ensure a 100% transfer on the back of the
mosaic. Allow for the mortar to cure for a minimum o1 24hr period before proceeding with the grout. It is
important to empty the joints be1ore installing grout. As it is a glass tile, mortar may be apparent from a
certain angle. Indeed, the transparency of glass is not a defect, but a characteristic of the product. It is
normal to see the grout and mortar through the glass. This is why it is important to choose the mortar
according to the color of the tile, as mentioned above.

MORTIER
Nous recommandons l'usage d'un mortier aux polymères blanc pour les tuiles en verre de couleur pâles.
Soit le Litefix, Megaflex ou Multiflex. Pour les tuiles en verre foncés, vous pouvez utiliser le nouveau
mortier-colle Flex GT-30 qui est gris pâle. Ce sont tous des produits recommandés pour ce type d'installation.
INSTALLATION:
Nous recommandons l'utilisation d'une truelle encochée carrée de 1/4'' x 3/8'' pour l'installation de cette tuile.
Il est très important de bien appuyer la tuile dans le mortier pour assurer un contact à 100% au dos de celleci. Allouer au mortier une période de cure de minimum 24 heures avant de procéder à l'installation du coulis. Il
est important de bien vider les joints avant l'installation du coulis. Comme il s'agit d'une tuile en verre, le
mortier pourrait être apparent d'un certain angle. En effet, la transparence du verre n'est pas un défaut, mais
plutôt une caractéristique du produit. Il est donc normal de voir le coulis et le mortier à travers le verre. C'est
pourquoi il est important de bien choisir son mortier selon la couleur de la tuile, comme mentionné
précédemment.
Several options are available to you for the grout. You can use a non-sanded grout like the Poly 600 from
Profix, the epoxy grout Poly 800 Precision (which is adapted to the glass) or Alpha. By using sanded or
epoxy grout (not appropriate for glass tiles), you may damage or scratch the surface of the glass. If you
purchased the Lifestyle Dune products, it is possible to use sanded grout Poly 500. Our tests clearly showed
that the surface remained intact.
COULIS:
Plusieurs possibilités s'offre à vous pour le coulis. Vous pouvez utiliser du coulis non sablé comme le Poly
600 de Profix, le coulis à l'époxy Poly 800 Precision (qui est adapté à la pâte de verre) ou Alpha. En
utilisant un coulis sablé ou un coulis époxy (non adapté à la pâte de verre), vous pourriez endommager la
surface du verre. Si vous avez acheté les produits Lifestyle Dune, il est possible d'utiliser du coulis sablé
Poly 500. Nos tests ont démontré clairement que la surface restait intacte.
MAINTENANCE:
Avoid abrasive cleaners for regular maintenance. Use PH neutral soap like the Polykleen Flor from Profix.
ENTRETIEN:
Éviter d'utiliser des nettoyeurs abrasifs pour l'entretien régulier. Utiliser un savon à PH neutre comme le
Polykleen Flor de Profix.
CUTTING :
You can use a diamond (natural or synthetic) or glass cutter (wheel glazier). If the scratch is correctly done
with a good constant pressure, the glass will cut and drop correctly (molecules are separated and then
allowed the break). In any case, do not wait before separating the pieces because the cut will close slowly
after that. Note that the cut should be made on top of the tile and not at the back.
SUGGESTED APPLICATION:
We suggest installing this kind of mosaic for backsplash, in bathroom (shower only for full glass sheets).
Installation not recommended for swimming pools and saunas.
COUPE :
On utilise un diamant (naturel ou synthétique) ou un coupe-verre (roulette de vitrier). Si la rayure est
correctement effectuée avec une bonne pression continue, le verre « file » et le décrochage se fait
rigoureusement à cet endroit (les molécules se séparent pour permettre ensuite la rupture). Dans tous
les cas, plus le décrochage est tardif, moins il est facile car la coupe se referme ensuite peu à peu. À
noter que la coupe doit s'effectuer sur le dessus de la tuile et non à l'arrière.
UTILISATION SUGGÉRÉE:
Il est suggéré d’installer ce type de mosaïque pour les dosserets de cuisine, dans la salle de bains
(douche seulement pour les produits ne contenant que du verre). Installation déconseillée dans les
piscines et saunas.
