REFUND POLICY
Refund conditions apply to individual candidates as well as to organisations who register
candidates in British Council exams sessions.
British Council validates registrations as soon as they have been officially submitted.
Deadlines, fees and procedures
10 days prior to exam: Candidates may cancel their registration 10 working days prior to the
exam date. Candidates should submit their request (page 1) 10 days before the exam date
and send it along with full bank details by email (to [email protected]) or by post.
Registration fees will be fully refunded.
4 days prior to exam: In case of cancellation between 10 and 4 working days prior to the
exam date, candidates should submit their request (page 1) at least 4 working days prior to
the exam date and send it along with full bank details by email (to [email protected])
or by post mail.
The British Council will refund 50% of registration fees.
Less than 4 days prior to and after the exam: After the deadlines mentioned above have
passed, candidates cannot apply for a refund except in the following circumstances:

Certified medical reasons

Compassionate reasons
Candidates should submit their request (page 1) within 5 working days after the exam date
and send it along with the corresponding supporting documents (original medical certificate,
a death certificate) and full bank details by email (to [email protected]) or by post.
The British Council will refund 50% of registration fees.
Candidates will receive an approval or rejection of their request within 10 days.
Refunds are paid by bank transfer approximately 8 weeks after receipt of all documents.
