Dr Eve Menger-Hammond has an unusual career, spanning both academia and
industry: she was research director at Allied Chemical and Corning Glass as well as on
the faculty at the University of California at Santa Cruz and the University of Viginia.
In her presentation she will reflect on the various types of University-Industry
relationships, their benefits and some barriers in establishing such relationships, as
well as possible means to overcome these barriers.
