Goals for final project: Les vêtements
This is your chance to demonstrate your knowledge of:
French words for clothing items (eg. un pantalon)
Descriptive words for clothing (eg. c’est un chandail brun et épais)
How the descriptive words change based on gender and number (eg. une nouvelle chemise, la
chemise blanche, les gants noirs)
How to use common verbs (je porte, je veux acheter, il va magasiner)
How to use the vocabulary in basic sentences (eg. En hiver, je porte un manteau).
Choose one of these formats for your project:
Find or draw a picture of
people wearing various items
of clothing.
Write a paragraph from the
point of view of the people in
the picture, naming and
describing the clothes they
are wearing.
Create a calendar
describing the clothes
you wear during each
of the four seasons.
Write a script for a radio
commercial which
advertises a special sale on
some items of clothing at
your store.
Find or draw 5 pictures of
people wearing items of
clothing.
Write a short description of each
item for a store catalogue.
Write a short story about
someone who goes on a
shopping spree to buy new
clothes.
Prepare a written
journal of the
clothes you wear
each day for 5 days.
Include sentences
describing how your
clothes changed
based on weather.

Your project must include:
At least 5 different pieces of clothing
At least 4 different description words
At least 2 different verbs
