The following information regards inter‐institutional agreements according to the official requirements of the Erasmus+ programme. Figures are related to the contract template provided by the European Commission. A. C. Language Skills o As the majority of our courses are in French, we strongly recommend students to have at least a B1 level of proficiency (according to the Common European Reference Framework for Languages). o French classes are available throughout each semester for students arriving in Montpellier within the framework of our exchange programmes D. Application o Exchange Placement Agreement  With academic tutor, a prepared draft of the Exchange Placement Agreement is required. Student must be sure to choose courses that are at POLYTECH Montpellier, and not those offered by other faculties at the University of Montpellier.  Sign and send the original to POLYTECH by post. o Written Statement  A short, written statement about why you wish to study at POLYTECH Montpellier. Statement should be a minimum of 5 lines, a maximum of 1 page.  Statement MUST be in French.  Printed complete application form, then have signed by student’s departmental coordinator and sent to the Exchange Students Advisor [email protected]‐montp2.fr or Polytech Montpellier ‐ Relations internationales Place Eugène Bataillon ‐ CC 419 34095 Montpellier ‐ FRANCE o Transcript of Records  Transcript of Records (list of student’s past study results) from home university. o The Online Exchange Application Form  Go to the online registration  Create a profile  Fill out the 5 steps of the online "Exchange Application Form"  Upon finishing the online procedure, students must print the pdf‐version of the "Exchange Application Form for Incoming Students", sign the form, and ask the person responsible for Exchange Students in their home university to sign it as well. E. Registration Requirements o On arrival, students must come to the Polytech International Office (building 31on the University of Science campus) with the following documents in order to complete registration:  European Health Insurance Card or equivalent  1 photograph (passport size)  Passport or identity card  Student ID card from home university F. Deadline o Autumn semester (September to January) : 16th May o

Spring semester (February to June) : 30th November All students will receive an arrival and departure confirmation from POLYTECH Montpellier with all necessary information. G. Applications/information on nominated students must reach the receiving institution by:  Autumn term: 15th May  Spring term: 30th November The receiving institution will send its decision within 2 weeks A Transcript of Records will be issued by the receiving institution no later than 4 weeks after the assessment period has finished at the receiving HEI (it should normally not exceed five weeks according to the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education guidelines). o
All students will receive an arrival and departure confirmation from POLYTECH Montpellier with all necessary information. J.
Termination of the agreement
 (It is up to the involved institutions to agree on the procedure for modifying or terminating the inter‐institutional agreement. However, in the event of unilateral termination, a notice of at least one academic year should be given. This means that a unilateral decision to discontinue the exchanges notified to the other party by 1 September 20XX will only take effect as of 1 September 20XX+1. The termination clauses must include the following disclaimer: "Neither the European Commission nor the National Agencies can be held responsible in case of a conflict.") K.
Transfer of rights and obligations in case of UM2 merger
The universities Montpellier 1 and 2 have undertaken a merger process. The parties agree that the rights and obligations of the Université Montpellier 2 from this agreement shall automatically be transferred to the new university resulting from the merger of the universities Montpellier 1 and 2, and this will be effective on the awarding date of the Erasmus Charter for higher education delivered by the Executive Agency. Official information shall be sent to the parties in order to inform them about the new legal name and the new Erasmus code resulting from the merger of the universities Montpellier 1 and 2. L. Housing o Exchange students can apply for a place in a student hall of residence. Recommended Language Requirement o The sending institution, following agreement with the receiving institution, is responsible for providing support to its nominated candidates so that they can have the recommended language skills at the start of the study or teaching period (POLYTECH requirement: French B1). O. Grading o All transcripts of Records will show grade distribution, grade, and ECTS credits. o ECTS grading scale : Polytech Grading Scale (/20) 14 and more ECTS Grade A % of successful students normally achieving the grade 10 13.5 to 14 B 25 VERY GOOD : above the average standard but with some errors
12.5 to 13.5 C 30 GOOD : generally sound work with a number of notable errors Definition EXCELLENT : oustanding performance with only minor errors
11 to 12.5 D 25 SATISFACTORY : fair but with significant shortcomings
