HOW TO DRAW BLOOD
Apply the tourniquet
on the upper part of
the patient’s arm.
Disinfect the arm with an
alcohol swab.
Align the hole in the
needle with the scale
for an easy reading.
Insert the needle into the
vein.
Pull on the plunger to
start drawing blood.
Apply a gauze pad onto
the injection site and
remove the needle.
Empty the blood in a
vaccutainer and
discard the needle into
a suitable container.
