ABSTRACT
This research which is entitled "a semiotic study of the main character in
the novel of Jean Mary Ghostv Luck , the research for gold" aims to study
the system of Alexi Laytang 's character and its semiotic importance
according to Philip Amons semiotic theory .
The importance of this study lies in showing and observing the main
implications and traits forming the character. It a so shows the meanings of
these implications that are forming the character in the novel.
