First Announcement and Call for Papers Invitation and aims Important dates The Laboratory of Georesources (LGR) and the Tunisian Clays Group (TCG) will organise and host the First International Congress of Atlas Georesources (AGIC) from March 20 to March 22, 2017 in Hammamet, Tunisia. Deadline for submission: July 30, 2016 Notification of acceptance: December 15, 2016 Deadline for registration: February 15, 2017 AGIC cordially invites researchers, policy makers, practitioners, students, social enterprises and social economy from all countries to share their knowledge, research and discuss challenging advances in geosciences and their applications for human being development. Abstract template is available to download from the conference website. Abstracts can be in French or English but must be submitted electronically to [email protected]. Authors should indicate the suggested track and whether they relate to a poster or an oral presentation. For any questions about the Conference registration process or need additional information, please contact the organization team at [email protected] Process selection and evaluation The Scientific Committee will review all contributions based on quality and relevance and decide whether the accepted paper is intended for a poster or oral presentation. All accepted submissions are held in confidence for publication leading up to the conference. Submissions received after the deadlines (see "Important Dates") may not be considered. Accepted submissions not presented by the author(s) during the conference will not be included in the conference proceeding. Outstanding contributions will be invited to submit a manuscript for possible publication in a special issue in a peer reviewed international journal. Please see the website for further explanations and instructions. www.certe.rnrt.tn Field trip The fieldtrip will guide you through the historic Temple of Water in Zaghouan and its famous aqueduct and canal network built in the 2nd century BC under the Roman Emperor Hadrian. The aqueduct used to carry water from the city of Zaghouan to the city of Carthage over 130 kms away. The site is located in the Mountain of Zaghouan and you will be guided across the Zaghouan belt which offers a large diversity of geological features and amazing geodynamic evolution history that shaped the landscape and the ancient civilizations.
