PROPRIETES PHARMACOLOGIQUES :
Inflamyl est un anti-inflammatoire non stéroïdien de la famille des
fénamates ayant trois activités importantes : analgésique, antipyrétique
et anti-inflammatoire.
INDICATIONS :
Le blocage de la synthèse des prostaglandines permet à INFLAMYL gélule
et comprimé d’être indiqué : chez l’adulte et l’enfant de plus de 12 ans
dans :
-Le traitement symptomatique des affections douloureuses
(règles douloureuses, douleurs dentaires, algies et fièvres d’origine diverse …),
-Les douleurs de l’appareil locomoteur (douleurs rhumatismales, douleurs
post-traumatiques et douleurs post-opératoires),
- Le traitement des états fébriles des maladies infectieuses et des affections ORL.
MODE D’EMPLOI ET POSOLOGIE :
Cette posologie est donnée à titre indicatif, votre médecin peut juger
utile de la modifier à votre cas personnel, CONFORMEZ VOUS
STRICTEMENT A SON ORDONNANCE.
 Pour le traitement des algies et des états fébriles : 750 mg à 1500 mg
d’acide méfénamique par jour au moment des 3 repas.
 Pour le traitement des règles douloureuses et/ou hémorragiques : 500 mg
à 1500 mg/jour d’acide méfénamique au moment des 3 repas jusqu’à
disparition des symptômes.
CONTRE INDICATIONS :
 Les personnes présentant des antécédents d’allergie ou d’asthme
déclenchés par la prise de l’acide méfénamique ou des substances
d’activité proche telles qu’autres AINS, aspirine…
 Les personnes présentant des antécédents d’allergie à l’un des
excipients.
 Les malades atteints d’insuffisance rénale ou hépatique grave.
 Insuffisance cardiaque sévère non contrôlée.
 Les patients présentant un ulcère gastroduodénal en évolution.
 Les femmes enceintes pendant le dernier trimestre de la grossesse.
 Enfant de moins de 12 ans.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
Inflamyl is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug of the fenamates
family having 3 properties: analgesic, antipyretic and
anti-inflammatory.
INDICATIONS :
The blocking of the synthesis of prostaglandins makes it possible for
INFLAMYL Capsule and Tablet to be particulary indicated in: adult and
children above 12 years of age:
- Symptomatic treatment of painful affection (Painful menstruation,
dental pain, dolor, fever of diverse origins…),
- Pain of the locomotor system (rheumatism pain, post-traumatic and
postoperative pains),
- Febrile state in infectious diseases and ENT affections.
POSOLOGY AND ADMINISTRATION:
This posology is given as an indication; your doctor can consider it
useful to modify it with your personal case. CONFORM STRICTLY
TO HIS PRESCRIPTION.
• Pains and febrile states: 750 mg to 1500 mg of mefenamic acid per day
during meals.
•Painful menstruations and/or menorrhagia: 500 mg to 1500 mg of
Mefenamic acid per day during meals.
CONTRA INDICATIONS :
• Patients
with hypersensitivity or asthma triggered by the taking of
mefenamic acid or substances of similar activity such as other
NSAIDs, aspirin,…
• Patients with hypersensitivity to one of excipients,
• Patients with severe hepatic or renal failure,
• Patients with severe heart failure,
• Patients with active ulceration of the gastrointestinal tract,
• Women during the last trimester of pregnancy,
• Children under 12 years.

Grossesse :
• Entre 12 et 24 semaines d’aménorrhée : l’acide méfénamique ne doit être
prescrit que si nécessaire, une prise prolongée est fortement déconseillée.
• Au-delà de 24 semaines : l’Acide méfénamique est contre indiqué.
Allaitement :
• L’utilisation de ce médicament est à éviter en cas d’allaitement.

PREGNANCY:
• Between 12 and 24 weeks of amenorrhea: mefenamic acid shouldn’t be
prescribed only if necessary, long-lasting treatment is strongly disadvised.
• Beyond 24 weeks: mefenamic acid is contra indicated.
BREASTFEEDING:
The use of this drug is to avoid during breastfeeding.

SIDE EFFECTS:
Leur apparition augmente avec l’utilisation de doses élevées et de
façon prolongée :
• Troubles gastro-intestinaux, avec gastralgie et nausées qui peuvent
être diminués par l’administration du produit au cours des repas, la
survenue d’une diarrhée impose l’arrêt du traitement.
• Réactions d’hypersensibilité : dermatologiques (éruption, rash,
prurit) ou respiratoires (crise d’asthme).
• Quelques cas de troubles rénaux, hématologiques et neurologiques
ont été décrits.
• Exceptionnelles infections graves de la peau en cas de varicelle.

The following effects may occur during long treatment with high doses:
• Stomach pain and nausea, which can be reduced when this drug is
taken during meals, in case of diarrhea stop the treatment,
• Skin rashes, pruritus and asthma attacks,
• Renal, haematological and neurological disorders may occur in rare
cases.
