The 11 Partnerships in Health Trophy took place at the Golf &
Country Club de Bonmont, west of Nyon (VD) on September
th
10 , blessed by a rare warm and sunny autumn day. As every
year, the enthusiasm of our golfers and our many sponsors was
touching and is truly essential for the continuation of our work.
Only with this crucial support, Partnerships in Health is able to
develop new initiatives for health improvements in the Balkans
and Central Asia.
Our core programs in public health and clinical care focus on
awareness raising, prevention and treatment for people affected
by HIV, adolescent reproductive health, and the prevention and
treatment of chronic diseases, which are increasing at epidemic
rates. Our programs build capacities in our neighboring countries
in the East, which need our support to reform their health care
systems but lack funding from the international donor community.
The Partnerships in Health Trophy is a
way in which businesses may partner in
making lasting health improvements in our
neighboring countries.
