Instructions for International Clients
1. Have your local Police service or accredited fingerprint agency take your fingerprints on the C-216C fingerprint form or similar. We can accept most types of fingerprint forms. The agency taking your fingerprints must place their official stamp in the area designated ”Fingerprinting Agency/Department” and the
official taking your fingerprints should print and sign their name in the area designated “Signature of Official taking fingerprints”.
2. Complete the Commissionaires Third Party Consent form including the applicant’s name and date of
birth. The Third Party Consent form must have the applicant’s Right Thumb print in the designated box
along with the signature of the applicant and the name and address of the person or organization who is to
receive the results. If you want a confirmation receipt when your fingerprint search is complete please include your email address.
3. Include a passport size photo with your name, date of the photo and your date of birth written on the back
of the photo.
4. Include a copy of two pieces of government issued identification (front and back) certified as a true copy by
the police, notary public lawyer or Canadian Consulate. One piece of ID must have a clearly visible picture
of the applicant on it.
5. Payment may be made by Visa or MasterCard. You may phone or complete the Commissionaires Credit
Card Authorization form.

RCMP will send results via regular mail. If you would like results to be sent outside of North America
and would like them sent by courier please place a flat Thumb or Finger impression print in the box
below and you can authorize the RCMP to send the results to our office and we can courier the
results to you via Purolator at cost.

Biometric Consent Instructions:
If fingerprints are being submitted to be processed by our CardScan
facility, please place a single finger flat impression in the box to
confirm consent. The Right Thumb should be used when possible. If not
possible due to injury or other reason then choose the Left Thumb and
so on.
The last choice for bio-consent impression would be the Left Little
finger.
Please use the chart to indicate which Thumb or Finger has been used.

Frequently Asked Questions
I live or work abroad and need a Police clearance from Canada. Do I have to come to Canada
to submit my fingerprints or can your company help me to get a certified criminal record
check from the RCMP?
You do not have to come to Canada for this purpose. We can email you the required forms or you can pick
them up at any Canadian Embassy or Consulate. Once you have your fingerprints taken send the original
form to us via regular mail or courier. We will submit your fingerprints to the RCMP electronically and the
RCMP will send the results directly to you or a third party via regular mail.
The RCMP’s website says that the individual living overseas cannot submit fingerprints electronically. How can you submit them electronically to speed up the process?
You can not submit fingerprints electronically from outside of Canada, however, if you send us the original
fingerprint form we can digitize it with our Card Scan technology and then submit them to the RCMP electronically. We are accredited and certified by the RCMP to digitize and transmit paper prints.
I need the results of my fingerprint check as soon as possible. Can I request the RCMP to send
the results to your company and your company can send it to me via courier?
Yes you can. You will need to complete the Third Party Consent Form by providing our address, signing it and
affixing your right thumb print impression in the box. We will receive your fingerprint results from the RCMP
and we will send it to you via courier at an additional courier fee. You can also send a pre-paid courier envelope along with your other documents.
Can I email you a scanned version of my fingerprints for submission to the RCMP?
No. We need the original fingerprint form to digitize fingerprints with card scan technology.
How can I pay for your services?
You may pay by Visa, MasterCard by phone or by completing the Credit Card Authorization form and mailing
that to us along with your other documents.
How do I find out the status of my application once it has been submitted to the RCMP?
The applicant may call us or send and email to confirm successful submission of fingerprints to the RCMP.
Unless authorized by the applicant, the RCMP do not release any further information to Commissionaires Security Solutions. The applicant or an authorized third party may inquire about the status of fingerprint submissions by contacting the RCMP by sending an email to [email protected]
