A technique towards more efficient engines April 18, 2013 at the University of Pitesti, Romania This workshop is supported by CNCS-UEFISCDI Romania (http://www.uefiscdi.gov.ro). Project number PN-II-IDEI-WE-2012-4-154. English, French, German, Italian presentations of the workshop are to be found below. Preliminary programme, as well. Dear Colleagues, University of Pitesti, Romania and le Conservatoire national des arts et métiers de Paris, France organize in partnership with the Romanian Society of Automotive Engineers (SIAR) a one day scientific workshop: Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). A technique towards more efficient engines Thursday, April 18, 2013 – University of Pitesti, Romania Today, reducing fuel consumption is a prime objective in the automotive industry in order to meet legal and customer demands. Variable valve actuation (VVA) offers many opportunities for improving engine performance in areas such as fuel economy, pollutant emissions and comfort. Several applications have already been successfully implemented in mass production and numerous innovative solutions are currently under development. The objective of this one-day workshop is to assess the state of the art of current and future variable valve actuation technologies and to examine their many application possibilities. With the contribution of the following companies: AVL, Politecnico di Torino, Renault, Schaeffler Technologies AG, Volvo Powertrain. This workshop is supported by CNCS-UEFISCDI (http://www.uefiscdi.gov.ro), project number PN-II-IDEI-WE2012-4-154 Do not miss this unique event which will gather the main experts on this current topic! Please find below the preliminary programme. Should you require further information, do not hesitate to contact us.
