Delicacies in an Alpine idyll
Gstaad spoils visitors to the region with a unique mix of nature, gastronomy,
wellness and challenging leisure activities
Delicacies in an Alpine idyll
Gstaad is a place for bons vivants. In this holiday destination, visitors
experience a unique mix of nature, wellness and challenging leisure activities
in the areas of sport and culture. Those who prefer delicacies have come to
the right place.
No other region spoils its visitors as much as Gstaad does when it comes to wining
and dining. More than 100 restaurants ranging from cosy raclette Stüblis to gourmet
temples are sure to stimulate your taste buds. The renowned Gault&Millau
restaurant guide awarded lastly 15 restaurants in the region a total of 229 points.
Local and international cuisine
Despite its extensive, world-famous range of offers for tourists, the region has kept
its genuine Alpine character. It is showcased by about 80 alps, which are home to
around 100 dairies that are happy to receive visitors. Those who prefer international
cuisine will also be pleasantly surprised. It ranges from French to Italian, Asian and
Oriental cuisine. Coffee houses and tea rooms enrich the gastronomic flair of
Gstaad.
Wellness rounds off the offering
The offers in the area of wellness and spa round off the culinary experiences. There
is extensive infrastructure to escape from daily stress. It is not for nothing that
Gstaad is one of the leaders in Switzerland in this respect, and was awarded with
the label “Wellness Destination” from the swiss tourism assembly. Seven hotels
leave nothing to be desired with their complete range of traditional wellness and spa
facilities. Many other hotels complement their offerings with Alpine forms of
wellness, such as barefoot walks and hay or whey baths.

Unique combination
It is the combination which gives Gstaad its unique character. The holiday region
with its wide range of outdoor and leisure activities provides a deliberate
counterpoint to our increasingly hectic daily lives.
