Autism Ontario – Kingston April/May 2013 avril/mai NEWS: o ASUS Walk/Run 2013 raised $2600! Thanks to everyone who came and who supported us. o Please share this bulletin with families. *Jeanette Holden Memorial Bursary* has been established by the Kingston Foundation for Autism Spectrum Disorders. A limited number of bursaries are available to individuals with ASD, living in the KFL&A area, wishing to have a camp experience this summer. These are for camps within the KFL&A area. Please submit a one page letter stating why you wish/your child wishes to go to camp. Successful candidates will be selected by lottery and contacted by June 1st. This is NOT income based. Please submit your letters to [email protected] by May 10, 2013. o Nicole, of Stella & Dot, has offered to do a fundraiser for us. If you are looking for something for yourself, for Mother’s Day or a Teacher’s Gift, there are lots of great ideas. In order to sustain our current activities, we urgently need new volunteers to join our Chapter Leadership Council. If you have benefited either professionally or personally from our activities in the past, please consider "giving back" by contributing your time to this important cause.
