The science behind « Lie to me », available now for training !
Fox's drama "Lie To Me" is a series about the science of lying.
« Lie to me » is inspired by the scientific discoveries of Dr Paul Ekman who can read clues
embedded in the human face, body and voice to expose the truth and lies in criminal
investigations.
"Dr Cal Lightman (played by Tim Roth) is the world's leading deception expert. If you lie to
Lightman, he'll see it in your face and your posture or hear it in your voice. If you shrug your
shoulder, rotate your hand or even just slightly raise your lower lip, Lightman will spot the lie. By
analyzing facial expressions and involuntary body language, he can read feelings ranging from
hidden resentment to sexual attraction to jealousy. His work gives him the knowledge and skill set
to expertly deceive others as well as detect lies."

« Evaluating Truthfulness and Credibility (ETaC) » is a four-day training program
(conducted in English) based on solid research and science, designed to develop a
person's ability and skill to recognize emotions in others as a basis for evaluating
truth and lies.

Further, it covers the psychological models behind truth and lies, plus the skills required to identify
'Hotspots' (instances when the strain between what we are thinking and what we are feeling
produces observable/audible leakage across the five communication channels : face, body, voice,
verbal style and verbal content).
The course is designed to help you to read and evaluate the degree of truthfulness and credibility
in what others are communicating to you.
As well as the five channels training, you will also learn about memory, and how you can evaluate
whether a statement of an event is remembered or being constructed through scientific content
analysis.
The program is designed to provide the participants with a direct use of the concepts and models.
Learn the skills yourself through Paul Ekman endorsed « Evaluating Truthfulness and
Credibility (ETaC) » training program now available in Belgium and Luxembourg.
