Asteelflash Acquires German EMS EN ElectronicNetwork
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Electronics Industry
Asteelflash acquires German EMS EN ElectronicNetwork
for Greater Proximity to its European Customers
PARIS, FRANCE, August 27, 2012 -- Asteelflash, one of the top 15 worldwide Electronics
Manufacturing Services (EMS) companies focusing on high-mix low/medium volumes, announced
today the acquisition of EN ElectronicNetwork, Germany’s number 2 EMS, which reached $181 million
revenue in 2011 and counts 700 employees.
Extending the European Market
This acquisition extends Asteelflash’s European presence by incorporating additional manufacturing
sites in Germany. Asteelflash is already well-established in Western Europe with sites in France and
in UK, as well as in North America, Africa and Asia.
ElectronicNetwork, a full service EMS provider, also operates a plant in the Czech Republic and is
currently ramping up a new plant in Romania. This will enable Asteelflash, who already has a strong
presence in low-cost countries such as China, Tunisia and Mexico, to offer a manufacturing alternative
in Eastern Europe.
Market Consolidation and Enhanced Services Close to the Customer
EN has a strong synergy with Asteelflash in terms of client portfolio and will enable the group to
access new regional market accounts and strengthen its activities in segments that are already well
established such as Industrial, Defense and Aerospace, Medical and Automotive.
Asteelflash is offering to EN customers the possibility to access a larger and more global organization,
while the performance of international and regional accounts will continuously be improved. The
Kaizen philosophy will also progressively be implemented in all sites.
“We greatly value customer service and wish to maintain a close relationship between our clients and
our plants in order to provide best solutions for Design, Engineering and Manufacturing. Our ambition
is to become Europe's 1st EMS”, explains Gilles Benhamou, President and CEO of Asteelflash.
