Cette grande boite à nourriture (cantine) était utilisée en particulier pour des présents de plats
préparés lors de noces et de réceptions. Elle était portée par deux hommes sur une barre.
Une boite similaire est présente dans la Collection C.L. Ma de meubles traditionnels chinois à
Pékin.
Dimension 106 x 85 x 53 cm.
Chine, 18ème ou début du 19ème siècle.
China, Mid Qing dynasty large food box.
This large food box was used when celebrating was organized outside or for food presents
during weddings. It was carried by two men using a pole. it may have been used also for other
storage.
This type of large boxes was used from the mid-18th century to the early 19th century.
A similar piece is in the collection of C.L. Ma traditional Chinese furniture collection in
Beijing.
Height: 106 cm, 84cm wide x 52 cm deep.
