Présentation de l’Association
• Association Loi 1901
• Création: Implantée au Mali depuis 2001, Burkina Faso , puis Bénin.
• Public cible: les personnes atteintes du NOMA et/ou de mutilations et de
malformations.
• Objectifs:
• Aide humanitaire
• Assistance médicale
• Formation médicale
Notre objectif principal: Redonner un visage aux enfants
• Composition des équipes: 2 chirurgiens experts dans leur domaines , 2
médecins anesthésistes , 1 IBODE et 1 IADE.
• 10 missions par an

• Travailler durant chaque mission en harmonie avec nos confrères; lors du
partage des sites opératoires
 Matériels lourds à partager, avec possibilité d’être en présence de
matériel non conforme (respirateur , stérilisation , moteur ).
 Apport par nos équipes de petit matériel et du matériel consommable .

Transport et Stockage
• Système de la double plateforme:
- Le matériel donné /acheté est centralisé en France à St Etienne, trié, révisé,
stocké dans un local dédié.
- Listing informatique
Redistribution aux missions pour le « petit matériel » et transfert selon
besoins
En Afrique , mise à disposition d’ un local à Ouagadoudou et d’un local au Bénin
actualisation en fin de mission des listing par les IADE et IBODE de chaque mission
Achat localement de produits pharmaceutique, prêt possible par nos confrères
• Double type d’acheminement du matériel:
Container avec l’aide logistique d’autres associations .
Transport individuel à chaque départ par valise humanitaire ( Air France)
(matériel à usage unique, médicaments, boites d’instrumentation )

Bilan: 13 ans d’activité
• 2500 enfants et jeunes adultes opérés, initialement de NOMA au stade
des séquelles et de fentes labiales . Puis à partir de 2010, en raison des
demandes: apport de l’expertise d’équipes orthopédiques.
• Lieux d’action: au BURKINA FASO , au MALI et au BENIN , en partenariat
avec les associations locales (transfert de malades depuis le MALI,
recrutement par émissions de radio, télévision ,etc.)
Les équipes sont constituées de 6 soignants, tous bénévoles.

Les Enjeux de l’Association
• Matériel en train de devenir obsolète ,
• matériel initial installé depuis 12 ans .
Nécessité d’ investissement pour poursuivre la mission fixée pour opérer
en toute sécurité et au meilleur coût
Organisation de la maintenance et de la materio-vigilance
• Le matériel médical de moyenne importance en panne est rapporté en
France pour bilan et éventuellement destruction ( fibroscope, moteur
d’orthopédie).
Réflexion en cours pour une association, pour ouvrir notre expertise à
d’autres pays demandeurs

Les difficultés de mise en place //
Difficulties of implementation
• Find devices of good quality in local/regional market (including
installation, trainings, first year maintenance warranty,...)
• Assure a proper follow-up of technical devices:
• Technical competences for maintenances in the country/region
• Supply of spares parts and consummables
• Get a good designed room depending on hygiene and technical
requirements
• Delay of transports and custom clearance from Europe.
• Problem of compatibility (electricity, humidity, temperature,...)
 Modern equipment not "repairable"
• Low budget and understanding for preventive maintenance

Description du projet Tabarre //
Description of the project Tabarre
• Genesis: After the earthquarke in january 2010, most of the medical structures
were colapsed. MSF decided to open a medium term hospital (activities runing for 5
to 10 years).
• Particularity of this project: Fast respond for the needs with a medium term
vision  Rapid construction using containers that have a good condition life for about
10 years.
• Main identified needs / Medical activities:
Traffic accident with mostly motorcycle victims
Weapons injuries
Gyneco-Obstetrical
With the hospital of Tabarre, MSF focus on orthopedy surgery (with internal and
external fixations' surgery) and visceral and traumatologic surgeries.
The objective is to implement a patient referral system with the local MoH hospital
(Ministery of Healthcare)

• Intensive and continue training of medical staff
• Implementation of the biomedical department during the realization of
the building and the opening of the hospital
• Training of a local biomedical referent during one year before the opening
