It is the oldest estate in Sauternes dating back to the 15th century and is one of the largest in the appellation with vineyard holdings covering one hundred hectares. Château Guiraud produces natural wines. It was the first 1855 Premier Grand Cru Classé to be certified organic and the only château in Sauternes to apply genuine ecologic practices across all its vines. The wines of Château Guiraud are marked with authenticity, characteristic acidity, minerality and exceptional depth. In July 2006, it was purchased by four key figures; an industrialist, Robert Peugeot and three winemakers, Olivier Bernard, Stephan von Neipperg and Xavier Planty. 3 CHÂTEAU D’AIGUILHE TABLE 3 Vignobles Comtes von Neipperg l BP 34, F-33330 Saint-Émilion T : +33 557 24 71 33 l E : [email protected] www.neipperg.com Stephan von Neipperg & Magali Malet-Serres Château d'Aiguilhe 2015, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux Château d'Aiguilhe 2014, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux Château d'Aiguilhe 2013, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux Château d'Aiguilhe 2012, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux Acquired by Stephan von Neipperg at the end of 1998, Château d’Aiguilhe is one of the most beautiful estates in the Côtes de Castillon. It stretches across one hundred and eleven hectares. Fifty hectares are devoted exclusively to vineyards. The vines grow particularly well on the upper part of the slope where they enjoy excellent natural drainage and south facing sunshine. These natural advantages, combined with old vines, play an important role to produce extraordinary wines with power and finesse. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. 3 4 CLOS DE L'ORATOIRE TABLE 3 Vignobles Comtes von Neipperg l BP 34, F-33330 Saint-Émilion T : +33 557 24 71 33 l E : [email protected] www.neipperg.com Stephan von Neipperg & Magali Malet-Serres Clos de l'Oratoire 2015, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé Clos de l'Oratoire 2014, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé Clos de l'Oratoire 2013, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé Clos de l’Oratoire, located on a north east slope in the appellation of Saint-Emilion, has ten hectares of vines. The soil is made up of Fronsac molasses on a layer of sand/clay subsoil which is ideal for the production of Merlot which makes up 90% of the grapes grown on this estate. Clos de l’Oratoire is a round, smooth, very seductive wine with a beautiful deep crimson colour and powerful fruit aromas. Merlot makes the wine deliciously round and opulent, whereas the Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon contribute power, aromatic complexity and a wonderful, long finish. 5 CHÂTEAU CANON LA GAFFELIÈRE TABLE 3 Vignobles Comtes von Neipperg l BP 34, F-33330 Saint-Émilion T : +33 557 24 71 33 l E : [email protected] www.neipperg.com Stephan von Neipperg & Magali Malet-Serres Château Canon La Gaffelière 2015, Saint Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé Château Canon La Gaffelière 2014, Saint Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé Château Canon La Gaffelière 2013, Saint Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé Château Canon La Gaffelière 2012, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé Located south of the medieval village of Saint-Emilion, at the foot of the appellation's main slope, the soil at Château Canon La Gaffelière is composed of well-drained clay-limestone and clay-sand. The proportion of grape varieties used in the blend is atypical for the appellation and almost equally divided between Merlot and Cabernet. Cabernet ripens very early on Canon La Gaffelière's warm soil, complementing Merlot's opulence, considerable power and aromatic complexity. The two varieties marry beautifully to give Canon La Gaffelière its natural elegance and finesse. 6 LA MONDOTTE TABLE 3 Vignobles Comtes von Neipperg l BP 34, F-33330 Saint-Émilion T : +33 557 24 71 33 l E : [email protected] www.neipperg.com Stephan von Neipperg & Magali Malet-Serres La Mondotte 2015, Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé La Mondotte 2014, Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé La Mondotte 2013, Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé La Mondotte 2012, Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé La Mondotte has four and a half hectares of vines east of the Saint-Emilion limestone plateau. This jewel of a vineyard has all the natural resources to produce great wine. The soil consists primarily of clay with a large amount of silt on rocky subsoil. The poor terroir forces the vines to sink their roots deep into the earth for nourishment. Natural drainage and ideal sun exposure enables the grapes, especially Merlot, to ripen under the best possible conditions. La Mondotte's unique clay soil, together with a natural tendency towards early ripening, produces yields less than thirty hectolitres per hectare. These ideal conditions combine to produce deeply-coloured, well-structured wines of unparalleled elegance and extraordinary opulence. 7 CHÂTEAU GAZIN TABLE 4 Château Gazin l 33500 Pomerol T : +33 557 51 07 05 l E : [email protected] Ines de Bailliencourt L'Hospitalet de Gazin 2014, Pomerol Château Gazin 2015, Pomerol Château Gazin 2014, Pomerol Château Gazin 2013, Pomerol Château Gazin 2012, Pomerol Château Gazin, once the site of an 18th Century village, is built on the foundations of a hospital which was constructed in the 12th Century by the Knights of Malta to accommodate the pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostella.
