Special Features:
Normal Temperature Alarm: An alarm will sound when the peak temperature has registered and is ready-to-read. The "Normal Temperature" alarm (four quick beeps followed by a pause) will sound repeatedly
for approximately 8 seconds.
Last-Temperature Memory Recall: When the ON/OFF button is depressed to activate the thermometer, hold down for approximately 5 seconds. The display of 188.8 will change to show the last measured
temperature. This reading is displayed as long as the button is held
down. When the button is released, the thermometer will be in "readyto-measure" mode and the recalled temperature will be erased.

THE TAKING OF BODY TEMPERATURES: Change in body temperature

ORAL USE
Place the probe well under the patient's tongue. Instruct the patient to
keep their mouth closed while the thermometer is reading.
A normal temperature by this method is usually considered between
36.0°C to 37.5°C (96.8°F to 99.5°F).

PRECAUTION
1. For best results, do not use the fast read thermometer for axillary
(underarm) measurement. Only use it for taking oral and rectal temperatures.
2. Do not boil the probe. Instead, clean the unit by wiping it with a dry
cloth and disinfect the probe with ethyl ( rubbing ) alcohol.
3. Do not drop the thermometer or expose to heavy shock . The unit is
not shock proof.
4. Do not bend or bite the probe.
5. Do not store the unit in direct sunlight, or at a high temperature, or
in high humidity or dust. Performance may be degraded.
6. Stop using the thermometer if it operates erratically or if display
malfunctions.
7. Keep out of the reach of unsupervised children.
8. Clean the thermometer probe before storing.
9. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit except to replace the battery.
10. If the thermometer has been stored at below-freezing temperatures, allow the thermometer to warm naturally to room temperature
before using.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
1. When the symbol "
BODY TEMPERATURE: A person's body temperature will usually be several tenths to one full degree lower in the morning than it is in the late
afternoon. Therefore, if your temperature is 36.6°C (97.9°F) in the morning, it could be 36.9°C (98.4°F) or more in the late afternoon and still
be normal. To determine what your normal body temperature is you
should take your temperature both in the early morning and in the late
afternoon over several days. Children have the same normal temperature range as do adults. A fever for both children and adults is typically
defined as a temperature over 37.5°C(99.5°F) (oral reading). Exercise,
excessive clothing, hot bath, hot weather, warm food and drink can
cause mild elevations of up to 38°C (100.4°F) to 38.4°C (101.1°F) in oral
temperature. If you suspect one of these to be the cause of an elevated
reading, eliminate the possible cause and retake the temperature in a
half hour.

2. Pull the battery cover off in the direction shown.
3. Using a pointed object such as a toothpick or insulated probe to pry
loose the old battery.
Avoid using any sharp metal object in this operation.
4. Place a new 1.55 VDC button size battery type 192, LR 41 or equivalent
in the chamber with the negative (-) side up and the positive (+) side
down .
Replace and fasten the battery cover securely .
RECTAL USE
If rectal temperature is recommended
by your doctor, you may use a probe
shield. Insert thermometer into the
probe shield. Lubricate the probe cover
with a water soluble jelly for easier insertion. Do not use petroleum jelly . Insert tip of probe no more than 1/2 inch
into rectum. STOP if you meet any resistance . The sensing unit is on the very
tip of the probe and there is no need to insert the probe deep into the
rectum. In general, the rectal temperature is around 0.5°C to 1.0°C (1.0
to 2.0°F) higher than oral temperature.
AXILLARY USE
Wipe armpit with a dry towel . Place probe in the patient's armpit and
keep the patient's arm pressed firmly against the body. In general, the
axillary temperature is around 0.5°C to 1.0°C (1.0 to 2.0°F) lower than
oral temperature. Note that in order to achieve better axillary temperature measurement result, a minimum measuring time of 3~5
minutes is recommended regardless of the beep sound.
NOTE : Children should be attended by an adult during the entire temperature recording process. After use, the digital thermometer should
be stored in a safe place, out of reach of young children. If you compare
temperatures between two thermometers, it is possible
to have two different readings even if both thermometers are within
their accuracy tolerances. Differences in how you take each reading and
the thermometer's tolerance range can account for nearly 0.1°C (0.2°F)
variability.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
To clean the thermometer, wash the tip with a solution of mild detergent
and cool water. Disinfect the thermometer by wiping the sensor and
lower stem with a cloth dipped in a household antiseptic solution such
as rubbing alcohol.

PRECAUTION
1. Pour des résultats optimaux, n'utilisez pas ce thermomètre pour une
mesure axillaire (sous le bras). Utilisez le uniquement pour des mesures
orales ou rectales.
2. Ne faites pas bouillir la sonde du thermomètre. Nettoyer le thermomètre en l'essuyant avec un chiffon sec. Désinfecter la sonde en la frottant
avec de l'alcool éthylique.
3. Ne laissez pas tomber le thermomètre, ne l’exposez pas non plus à des
chocs violents. L'appareil n’est pas anti-chocs.
4. Ne pliez pas la sonde, ne la mordez pas.
5. Ne laissez pas l'appareil exposé aux rayons directs du soleil, à une température élevée, à une forte humidité ou à la poussière. Ses performances
pourraient en être altérées.
6. Arrêtez d'utiliser le thermomètre si celui-ci fonctionne de manière
irrégulière ou en cas de dysfonctionnement de l'écran.
7. Conservez le thermomètre hors de portée des enfants.
8. Nettoyez la sonde du thermomètre avant de le ranger.
9. N'essayez pas de démonter l'appareil, sauf pour remplacer la pile.
10. Si le thermomètre a été stocké à des températures inférieures à 0 °C,
laissez-le revenir naturellement à la température ambiante avant de
l'utiliser.
11. Les performances de l'appareil pourraient être altérées s'il est utilisé
ou stocké à une température et une humidité en dehors des plages
indiquées ou si la température du patient est inférieure à la température
ambiante (de la pièce).
REMPLACEMENT DE LA PILE
1. Lorsque le symbole " " apparaît, la pile doit être remplacée.
2. Retirez le couvercle de la pile en le tirant dans la direction indiquée.
3. Utilisez un objet pointu tel qu'un cure-dent ou une pointe isolée pour
déloger la pile usagée. Evitez d'utiliser un objet tranchant en métal.
4. Placez une nouvelle pile bouton 1,55 VCC de type 192, LR 41 ou équivalent
dans le logement, face négative (-) vers le haut et face positive (+) vers le bas.
5. Replacez le couvercle de la pile et fixez-le.
6. L'appareil s'éteindra automatiquement au bout de 9 minutes (environ). Cependant, pour prolonger la durée de vie de la pile, il est préférable d'éteindre le thermomètre en appuyant sur le bouton ON/OFF lorsque la température a été notée.
Fonctions particulières :
Alarme de Température Normale : Une alarme retentira lorsque la température maximale aura été enregistrée et pourra être lue. L'alarme de
" Température Normale " (quatre bips rapides suivis d'une pause) se
déclenchera de façon répétée pendant environ 8 secondes.
Rappel de Mémoire de la Dernière Température : Lorsque vous appuyez sur
le bouton ON/OFF pour activer le thermomètre, maintenez-le enfoncé pendant environ 5 secondes. L'affichage passera de 188,8 à la dernière température mesurée. Cette valeur est affichée aussi longtemps que le bouton est
maintenu enfoncé. Lorsque le bouton sera relâché, le thermomètre passera
en mode " prêt pour mesure " et la température rappelée sera effacée.
Pour les Modèles avec Alarme de Fièvre : Si la température mesurée est
supérieure à 37,5 °C(99,5 °F), l'alarme de fièvre (un bip rapide qui retentit
en continu pendant environ 8 secondes) se déclenchera lorsque la température maximale aura été enregistrée. Par ailleurs, le résultat clignotera
jusqu'à ce que le thermomètre soit éteint.
Pour les Modèles avec Affichage Centigrade/Fahrenheit Sélectionnable :
Après avoir mis le thermomètre sous tension, le mode Centigrade ou
Fahrenheit peut être modifié pendant les 5 premières secondes en
appuyant sur le bouton ON/OFF.
REMARQUE : Désinfectez toujours le thermomètre avant de l'utiliser.
REMARQUE : Lors de l'Etape 2, si la température ambiante est supérieure
à 32,0 °C (90,0 °F), celle-ci sera affichée à la place de L°C(or L°F).
REMARQUE : Lors de l'Etape 3, vous pouvez placer une protection de sonde
sanitaire en plastique sur le capteur afin d'éviter une surinfection ou une
contamination. L'utilisation de la protection de sonde peut entraîner une
différence de 0,1 °C (0,2 °F) par rapport à la température réelle. Jetez la
protection de sonde utilisée et rangez l'appareil dans un endroit sûr.
METHODES FIABLES
POUR MESURER LA TEMPERATURE
LA PRISE DES TEMPERATURES CORPORELLES : Le changement de température corporelle est l'un des plus importants indicateurs de maladie.
Il est important que les températures soient prises avec précision. Même
si le thermomètre numérique s'utilise d'une manière semblable au
thermomètre en verre, il est important de respecter scrupuleusement les
instructions d'utilisation simples de ce thermomètre et que la personne
prenant la température comprenne la température corporelle.
TEMPERATURE CORPORELLE : La température corporelle d'une personne
sera en général plus faible de plusieurs dixièmes jusqu'à un degré le matin
par rapport à la fin d'après-midi. Par conséquent, si votre température est
de 36,6 °C (97,9 °F) le matin, elle pourrait être de 36,9 °C (98,4 °F) ou plus
en fin d'après-midi ; cela reste normal. Afin de déterminer votre température corporelle normale, il est recommandé de prendre votre température en début de matinée et en fin d'après-midi pendant plusieurs jours.
Les enfants ont la même plage de température normale que les adultes.
Pour les enfants comme pour les adultes, la fièvre est définie classiquement par une température supérieure à 37,5 °C (99,5 °F) (lecture orale).
L'effort physique, un habillement excessif, un bain chaud, un temps chaud,
des boissons et des aliments chauds, peuvent provoquer de légères
élévations de la température orale jusqu'à 38 °C (100,4 °F) ou 38,4 °C
(101,1°F). Si vous pensez que l'une de ces explications pourrait être
la cause d'une valeur élevée, éliminez la cause éventuelle et reprenez la
température une demi-heure plus tard.
UTILISATION ORALE
Enfoncez bien la sonde sous la langue du
patient. Demandez au patient de maintenir
sa bouche fermée pendant que le thermomètre procède à la lecture. Avec cette méthode, on considère généralement qu'une
température normale se situe entre 36,0 °C
et 37,5 °C (96,8 °F et 99,5 °F).

UTILISATION RECTALE
Si la température rectale est recommandée par votre médecin, vous pouvez
utiliser une protection de sonde. Insérez le thermomètre dans la protection
de sonde. Lubrifiez la protection de sonde à l'aide d'un gel hydrosoluble
pour faciliter l'insertion. N'utilisez pas de vaseline. Insérez la pointe de la
sonde de 1/2 pouce (1,27 cm) au maximum dans le rectum. ARRETEZ si
vous rencontrez une résistance. Le capteur se situe à l'extrémité de la
sonde et il est inutile d'insérer la sonde profondément dans le rectum. En
général, la température rectale est environ 0,5 °C à 1,0 °C (1,0 à 2,0 °F) plus
élevée que la température orale.
UTILISATION AXILLAIRE
Essuyez l'aisselle avec une serviette sèche. Placez la sonde sous l'aisselle
du patient et maintenez fermement le bras du patient le long du corps. En
général, la température axillaire est environ 0,5 °C à 1,0 °C (1,0 à 2,0 °F)
plus faible que la température orale. Veuillez noter que pour de meilleurs
résultats de mesure de la température axillaire, un temps de mesure
minimal de 3~5 minutes est recommandé même si des bips retentissent.
REMARQUE : Les enfants doivent être surveillés par un adulte pendant toute
la durée du processus de mesure de la température. Après utilisation, rangez
le thermomètre numérique dans un endroit sûr, hors de portée des jeunes
enfants. Si vous comparez les températures entre deux thermomètres, il est
possible d'obtenir deux valeurs différentes, même si les deux thermomètres
se situent dans les limites de tolérance de précision. Des différences entre
la manière dont vous mesurez chaque valeur et la plage de tolérance du thermomètre peuvent expliquer un écart de près de 0,1 °C (0,2 °F).
INSTRUCTIONS DE NETTOYAGE
Pour nettoyer le thermomètre, lavez l'extrémité avec une solution de
détergent doux et d'eau fraîche. Désinfectez le thermomètre en essuyant le
capteur et le bas de la tige avec un tissu imbibé d'une solution antiseptique
ménagère, telle que de l'alcool à 90°. Le produit est compatible avec les
solutions de désinfection ANIOS : SURF A’SAFE SH, ANIOS DDSH, ANIOSURF
FRAICHEUR, ANIOSURF PREMIUM, SURFANIOS PREMIUM, SURFANIOS.
GARANTIE LIMITEE
AVERTISSEMENT :
1. Eliminez l'ancienne pile avec précaution, hors de portée des jeunes
enfants. L'ingestion de la pile peut être mortelle. Si la pile est avalée,
appelez immédiatement un hôpital pour la faire retirer. Ne jetez pas
la pile dans un feu. Elle pourrait exploser.
