Howe, Acting Minister of Labour, Victoria, B.C. Apr. 24, 1933 Re: Order-in-Council appointing Herbert Geddes Member Minimum Wage Board for Women. When Mr. McKenzie left for Ottawa he requested me to fill the vacancy on the Women's Minimum Wage Board as soon as I could obtain a suitable gentleman for the position. I have been successful in securing the consent of Mr. Herbert Geddes of Vancouver to act as a member of the Board in plane of the late Mr. Mathews. On securing Mr. Geddes's consent I wired Mr. McKenzie at Ottawa asking his approval.
