Eric Michael LAVIOLETTE

Biography
Eric Michael Laviolette is Professor of Entrepreneurship & Strategy at Novancia Business
School Paris. His research build on resource-based theories, dynamic capabilities and social
network theories to explain why and how individuals create and develop new activities from
and between established organisations within larger socio-economic systems. He has 20
publications: (9 articles, 2 books, 9 book chapters) on spin-offs, entrepreneurial competencies,
role models and self-efficacy as well as clusters as institutions. His main teaching topics are
both in english and french on entrepreneurship, business models, entrepreneurial growth and
strategies. He has also been the head of several academic specializations and programs among
which the MSC in International Business Development & Consulting, a dual degree program
within a consortium of 7 universities.
