Ensemble Hôtelier Cheval Blanc
Ce projet de 21 000 m² situé au Jardin Alpin de Courchevel a fait l’objet d'un concours remporté par Didier Beautemps /
Atelier COS et le Groupe LVMH Hotel Management. Le projet prend le parti de l'intégration et cherche à s'immiscer
respectueusement dans ce site de grande beauté. Aussi le projet s'articule sur 3 strates qui suivent les courbes naturelles
du terrain. La priorité est donnée aux promenades des piétons et skieurs et plus de la moitié du programme est traitée en
sous-sol afin de minimiser l'impact visuel de la masse bâtie que l'on perçoit comme un hameau.
This project of 21 000 m² located in the Jardin Alpin of Courchevel was the subject of a competition which Didier
Beautemps / Atelier COS won with the Groupe LVMH Hotel Management. The project aims at a perfect integration and
seeks to emerge respectfully in this site of great beauty. It is composed of 3 layers following the natural slope of the land.
Priority is given to pedestrians and skiers' walks and more than half of the project is placed underground in order to
minimize the visual impact of the built mass that is perceived as a hamlet.
