In accordance with its Order of Reference of Tuesday,
May 28, 2013, your Committee has considered Bill C-54,
An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the National
Defence Act (mental disorder), and agreed on Wednesday,
June 12, 2013, to report it with the following
amendments:
Conformément à son Ordre de renvoi du mardi 28 mai
2013, votre Comité a étudié le projet de loi C-54, Loi
modifiant le Code criminel et la Loi sur la défense
nationale (troubles mentaux), et a convenu le mercredi 12
juin 2013, d’en faire rapport avec les amendements
suivant :
Clause 7
Article 7
That Bill C-54, in Clause 7, be amended by replacing line
14 on page 3 with the following:
Que le projet de loi C-54, à l'article 7, soit modifié par
substitution, à la ligne 16, page 3, de ce qui suit :
“discharge and accused's intended place of residence
shall, at the victim's request, be given”

“20.1 (1) Within five years after sections 2 to 20 come
into force, a comprehensive review of the operation of
sections 672.1 to 672.89 of the Criminal Code is to be
undertaken by a committee of the Senate, of the House
of Commons or of both Houses of Parliament that may
be designated or established by the Senate, the House of
Commons or both Houses of Parliament, as the case may
be, for that purpose.
« 20.1 (1) Dans les cinq ans suivant l’entrée en vigueur
des articles 2 à 20, un examen approfondi de
l’application des articles 672.1 à 672.89 du Code
criminel est entrepris par le comité soit du Sénat, soit de
la Chambre des communes, soit mixte, que le Parlement
ou la chambre en question, selon le cas, désigne ou
constitue à cette fin.
(2) Within a year, or such further time as authorized by
the Senate, the House of Commons or both Houses of
Parliament, as the case may be, after the review is
undertaken, the Committee referred to in subsection (1)
must submit a report on that review to the Senate, the
House of Commons or both Houses of Parliament, as the
case may be, including a statement of any changes
recommended by the Committee.”
