Bandes bleues sur toute la longueur, phares de grand diamètre : pas de doute, il s'agit d'une Dauphine 1093, version
sportive la plus recherchée de cette fille de Billancourt. De plus, celle-ci provient de la collection d'un amateur
inconditionnel de la marque, Michel Hommell. Après avoir disputé la Coupes R8 Gordini dans les années 1960, il est
devenu l'éditeur que l'on connaît et qui a lancé des titres comme Échappement, Auto Hebdo ou Auto Passion.
Parallèlement, sa passion de l'automobile et des vieilles pierres l'a amené à créer le Manoir de l'Automobile, dans le
village de Lohéac, qui abrite un musée d'une grande richesse.
Il a fait l'achat de la présente 1093 en 1984, alors qu'elle était immatriculée en région parisienne depuis 1982. Elle a
fait l'objet d'une remise en état complète au sein de l'atelier du musée. La mécanique a bénéficié de soins
particuliers avec rectification du vilebrequin et remplacement des coussinets et des segments. Elle dispose, en outre,
de tous les accessoires spécifiques au moteur de la 1093. La boîte de vitesse d'origine a laissé place à une boîte
quatre rapports provenant d'une version Export, et l'habitacle est parfaitement conforme aux spécifications de la
1093, avec un tableau de bord noir pour le millésime 1963, des sièges pied-de-poule et skaï marron refaits, un
compte-tours à la place du vide-poche à gauche du volant... Comme elle a très peu roulé depuis sa restauration, elle
sera à rôder soigneusement avant d'en exploiter toutes les qualités. En très bel état, cette voiture est telle que
l'amateur pouvait l'acheter à l'époque, en se rendant chez un concessionnaire de la marque.

Michel Hommell bought this 1093, which had been registered in Paris since 1982, in 1984, The car has undergone a
complete refurbishment in the museum's workshop. Mechanicals benefited from special care including a crankshaft
adjustment and a bearings replacement. It also features all specific accessories of the 1093 engine. The original
gearbox has been changed to a four-speed transmission from the export version, and the cabin is fully compliant with
the specifications of 1093, with a black dashboard for the 1963 model year, houndstooth and brown leatherette seats
upholstery, a tachometer in place of the storage compartment left of the steering wheel... As car has hardly been
used since its restoration, it will need a careful break-in before making the most of its qualities. In a very good
condition, this car is today what an enthusiast could buy at that time at an authorized dealership.
