Daniel Belleau is a partner, co-founder and co-director of
the firm. With 25 years of experience in civil and
commercial litigation, he is also very active in class

Daniel is known for his vast expertise, his ability to
manage the most complex cases, and his practical and
strategic advice to his clients on how to improve their
situation. He regularly brings cases before trial courts
and appellate courts. He successfully pleaded before the
Supreme Court of Canada in a class action suit involving
competition law; this case resulted in a very important
ruling with impacts on jurisdictional issues, on the
application of criteria authorizing the bringing of a class
action, and on competition and consumer law. It is cited
in the highly regarded Lexpert Top Ten Cases of 2013.
Daniel contributes to his profession as a member of the
Barreau du Québec advisory committee on class action
and the Canadian Bar Association’s National Task Force
on Class Actions. He is highly sought after as a guest
