On a green field in the Zurich–Basel–Bern business triangle, Green Datacenter AG operates
Switzerland’s largest commercial data center. The state-of-the-art, highly secure, energyefficient greenDatacenter Zurich West in Lupfig was built in accordance with the Tier IV
standard – a data center that meets the highest requirements. It is located a safe distance
from large urban centers and far from airports and transport routes for dangerous goods.
In May, the high-security data center built by Zurich Versicherung became part of the
green.ch Group. The data center located on the outskirts of Zurich that was acquired from
the Zurich insurance company has been renamed Zurich City 2. Now Green can offer its
customers in Lupfig georedundancy and therefore replication of their IT systems just 18 km
away in Schlieren. The proximity to Zurich city center makes the data center in Schlieren
especially attractive for financial service providers.

With its five data centers, Green Datacenter AG offers the right housing solution tailored to
widely varying housing needs. Server housing solutions range from quarter racks to individually
laid out, flexible, and expandable rooms. We work together with our customers to determine
the right solution for their data volumes. We are currently completing a six-level office complex
next to greenDatacenter Zurich West for customers who require maximum availability. In just a
few months, InnovationTower will offer many future-ready workplaces as well as a range of
ultramodern emergency workplaces.
