Kamal Daissaoui
The group Chairman
What motivated you to create the finance department?
The Moroccan School of Engineering Sciences (EMSI) was founded in 1986 so as to meet the needs of the employment sector through offering its engineering
students the best training quality. With the growing reputation of the EMSI group and its concern with technological developments, leading economic
players requested the creation of a new finance major from where was the birth of the new Financial Engineering and Audit (IFA) section.
This new section was accredited in 2016 by the Ministry of Higher Education.
What are your means to train future engineers of IFA sector?
EMSI is a group of 10 sites in the Kingdom of Morocco (Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakech) equipped with high-tech teaching facilities.
The teaching staff includes over 300 professors from colleges, universities, firms, and Moroccan companies and multinationals.
The group also has numerous partnerships with prestigious French universities allowing an international openness and a successful cultural exchange.
The IFA section syllabus pilots a project-centered approach, combining theory with practice and allowing an opening up on the business world.
EDITORIAL
What are the means the school deploys towards enhancing the employability of your future
graduates in the labor market?
EMSI deploys various resources to facilitate the professional integration:
A curriculum adapted to the needs of the market:
The training provided in EMSI meets the requirements and expectations of employers, which favors the position of our graduates in the labor market.
Mentoring and training offered by professionals:
Our graduates receive high quality training throughout their career by professionals who transmit their experience and expertise to them; this facilitates their
integration into the business world.
High-level partnerships and events:
Being a member of several board clusters (CE3M, Electronic, Mecatronic and mechanics cluster of Morocco and the MNC, Morocco Numeric Cluster), the
EMSI Group offers its graduates high potential for career success.
Each year the group EMSI organizes Forums ‘EMSI-Enterprise’ in Casablanca, Rabat and Marrakech, which are attended by large national and international
companies. In addition to that, the group holds “job days” and recruitment sessions allowing internship possibilities for the future engineers.
The engineers training in EMSI is based on present and future challenges and development prospects. It also depends on the acceleration strategy and the
industrial landscape of Morocco. The different study majors are launched after rigorous market research considering the current entrepreneurial situation of
the country and targeting the strengthening of a permanent agility to anticipate market changes.

THE TRAINING'S TRUMPS
Training and Teaching staff
For the first time in Morocco, financial engineering major is provided thanks to
EMSI. It is about training students for the financial engineering professions, auditing and management control. Some target graduation profiles would specialize in designing complex financial arrangements while others would have more
monitoring tasks. Mixed-curriculum combines theory and practice in the
presence of large well Known trainers from prestigious universities and large
companies. They are responsible for following up on recent developments and
incorporate emerging issues in the field concerned in their training syllabi.
• Educational background projects
With high educational and scientific quality, our teams evaluate and monitor
the criteria for added-value training; it is the heart of the academic research
activity present in mixed projects and in simulations of Junior Enterprise. The
educational facilities available to students, including the Financial Labs,
Market Class, and the Certification Center, effectively complete the training.
Management software and case studies are of a paramount help enhance
operational and oriented-project application of skills acquired throughout the
curriculum.
A strong opening parallel market
In order to live up to the changing pace as well as to acquire a professional experience that goes hand in hand with
the theoretical courses taught, students benefit from a system that makes them close to the business world by:

An oriented pedagogy
to entrepreneurship
Since its creation, EMSI has always conceived of training for entrepreneurship as guiding principles in
developing its training strategy. Through its mixed projects gathering engineering students of different
sectors, its EMSINoV multiple categories competition and its incubator assisting startup owners, it
continues to create job opportunities.
It is also important to mention that the junior enterprise is an opportunity for students to learn the
codes, culture, and business issues. They practice the theoretical training they receive through performing professional projects for real clients.

Coaching and tutoring
By an active listening system and a powerful coaching process, our young
students develop their strengths and increase their self-esteem. This transition helps in turning the ‘consumer student’ into a productive engineer.
EMSI implements reinforcement pedagogy to increase the level of students
who need to improve during the academic year. The tutoring is provided
for free and on demand as part of a mentoring system.
