Create the front and back cover of a book
Vous devrez créer une couverture de roman policier en vous aidant des exemples donnés ci-dessous. N’oubliez pas
d’inclure tout ce qui est demandé. Vous devrez inventer un titre et vous mettre comme auteur, ou vous trouver un
pseudo si vous préférez. Soignez la présentation (format : feuille A4 pliée en deux) et l’originalité !!
1- What does a front cover tell you? Look at this cover and imagine what the story might be about.

The front cover has to tell you different things about the
story. You’ll have to include :
- the author (here Mary Higgins Clark)
-the title (here A cry in the night)
- a catch phrase or a one-sentence newspaper review (1)
(here “A Stunning achievement… A suspense classic.”
--Associated Press.)
- An illustration, giving hindsight (≈clues) about the
atmosphere/ characters/ events of the story.
Hints:
a- Imagine ton histoire initiale (qui, quand, où…), un
élément modificateur et une atmosphère mystérieuse.
b- Recherche des documents (images, photos, dessins…)
pour illustrer ton histoire. Fais-en un montage ou un
collage.
2- What does a back cover tell you? Read the back cover of Post Mortem.
Include:
- title
- summary (not too long, not too short,
but be careful not to reveal the end!
Leave some suspense!! Don’t forget to
use the vocabulary you learned in class!
(! Attention à l’utilisation des temps.
Inclure les trois temps du passé vus:
pluperfect, prétérit be +ing, prétérit
simple.)
- two or three short newspaper reviews
(Don’t forget to include the names of the
newspapers!)
