The film walks the viewer through Evelyn
Glennie's experience with sound and music.
Evelyn Glennie is the world's foremost
percussionist, she is also profoundly deaf.

Based on the true story of the late Maria Altmann,
an elderly Jewish refugee living in Los Angeles,
who, together with her young lawyer, Randy
Schoenberg, fought the government of Austria for
almost a decade to reclaim Gustav Klimt's iconic
painting of her aunt, Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer
I, which was stolen from her relatives by the Nazis
in Vienna just prior to World War II. Altmann took
her legal battle all the way to the Supreme Court
of the United States.

In 1863, a legless man washes up on the Acadian
coast. He's taken to the home of Jean the
Corsican, a burly and bitter former soldier, and his
childless wife, Julitte. The man, who is young and
handsome, remains mute as Julitte nurses him
back to health. Jean, meanwhile, hunts for pirate
treasure, rumoured to be hidden in a cave by the
sea. The treasure is his ticket out of Acadia. As
Julitte and the mysterious Jérôme are drawn
together, something's got to give.
In a working-class neighbourhood in 1960s Paris,
Moїse Schmidt (Momo), is a young Jewish boy
growing up without a mother and with a depressed
father. Momo is fascinated by the elderly Turkish
Muslim man, Ibrahim, who runs a grocery store
across the street from his apartment. Their
relationship develops and soon Momo feels closer
to Ibrahim than to his father.

former colleague Cissy, are residents of Beecham
House, a home for retired opera singers. Every
year on Giuseppe Verdi's birthday, the residents
unite to give a concert to raise funds for their
home. But when Jean Horton, a former grande
dame of the opera, also Reggie's ex-wife, moves
into the home, the plans for this year's concert
start to unravel.

Tibet, we join Kenyon's quest to integrate modern
science's advances in sound research.

The Story of the Weeping Camel (2003)

Cast: Janchiv Ayurzana, Chimed Ohin,
Amgaabazar Gonson.
In Mongolia's Gobi desert, a camel belonging to a
group of nomadic shepherds gives birth to a white
calf. It's a rare occurrence, and the shepherds
watch as the unusually-coloured offspring is
rejected by its mother. Without its mother's milk,
the calf will die. To save its life, the nomads send
two boys on a journey across the desert to find a
musician in the village whose song may compel
the camel to accept its calf.

Sixteen-year-old Paula Bélier is an indispensable
interpreter for her deaf parents and brother, and in
the running of the family farm. One day, a music
teacher discovers her gift for singing and
encourages Paula to participate in a prestigious
singing contest in Paris, which will secure her a
good career and a college degree. However, this
decision would mean leaving her family and taking
her first steps towards adulthood.

percussionniste la plus exceptionnelle au monde,
elle est aussi profondément sourde.

Le film retrace l'histoire véridique de Maria
Altmann, une Autrichienne juive réfugiée aux
États-Unis peu avant la 2e guerre mondiale qui,
soixante-cinq ans plus tard, se bat devant les
tribunaux pour récupérer auprès du gouvernement
autrichien les peintures de Gustav Klimt que sa
famille possédait et qui avaient été volées par les
nazis puis confiées au musée Belvédère.

Inspiré d’un fait divers survenu en 1863, le film
relate l’histoire du sauvetage d’un homme amputé
des deux jambes et presque muet, retrouvé
abandonné sur une plage de Baie Sainte-Marie.
Lors de son lancement, on présentait ce film
comme étant la première production de fiction
acadienne francophone. Le secret de Jérôme a
reçu seize prix dans le monde (Canada, Belgique,
France, É.U.).

chamane Tom Kenyon qui cherche à intégrer
science moderne et mysticisme ancien par le biais
du pouvoir du son. Il nous fait voyager en France,
à Vienne et jusqu’au sommet des monts neigeux
du Tibet.

rue Bleue. Celui-ci va lui faire découvrir les grands
principes du Coran et revêtir le rôle de père.

L'une d'elles y parvient difficilement. Dès la
naissance, elle se désintéresse de son bébé et lui
refuse son lait. La tradition veut qu'on fasse venir
un violoniste pour émouvoir la chamelle et la
réconcilier avec son bébé chameau...

Dans la famille Bélier, tout le monde est sourd
sauf Paula, 16 ans. Elle est une interprète
indispensable à ses parents au quotidien,
notamment pour l’exploitation de la ferme
familiale. Un jour, poussée par son professeur de
musique qui lui a découvert un don pour le chant,
elle décide de préparer le concours de Radio
France. Un choix de vie qui signifierait pour elle
l’éloignement de sa famille et un passage
inévitable à l’âge adulte.
