* Brevet déposé OneWay 2.0 A new version of the unidirectional OneWay bearing with built-in ActiGir* principle 2006 : Birth of the first OneWay bearing In 2006, mps presents a miniaturized concept of unidirectional bearings and a new system of clutch bearings : the OneWay system ( Swiss Patent CH 694 025 A5 ). The coupling, based on a plate gripping system, is ensured by cage segments containing one or several balls. In the watch movement, it is mainly used as an inversion mobile for the manual or automatic winding-up gear train. 2016 : ActiGir – an innovative principle The ActiGir * principle is an innovation by mps. Built into the OneWay system, it enables an efficient blockage in all circumstances and reduces the backlash angle when switching from one mode ( free running ) to the other mode ( blocked ). What more does the ActiGir principle bring to the OneWay system ? The cage segments of the OneWay 2.0 bearing contain flexible elements maintaining a constant tension between all components inside of the bearing. Thus, the sliding losses, generated by the movement of the various elements respective to each other, are minimized, which results in a backlash angle of less than 7° during the switch between the two modes ( free running to blocked ). Besides, the OneWay bearing, due to its braking characteristic in the free running direction, contributes to the stability of the gear-train function by suppressing the « shakiness » phenomenon. * Patent pending
