Check whether the data can meet the specified requirements ? Simplify the production of specified information requirements Point 1. is covered by supplying DATA (simulated images) to the EXPERTS, for performing feasibility studies Point 2. is being covered by the "general tools" from CNES R&T and results of preparatory programme (link with methodology groups, OTB…) ■ ■ Requirements expressed by the 8 thematic WG will drive ■ the "methodology" experts and the CNES R&D programme the feasibility projects, in each thematic WG ORFEO Preparatory Program – GT2-5 meeting-16/03/2009– CNES Paris 40 ORFEO Preparatory Program ■ ORFEO Web site: http://smsc.cnes.fr/PLEIADES/ ■ Regularly updated : Program information: planned meetings, minutes…. Simplify and automate the production of specified information requirements, through adapted and efficient tools Issues addressed by methodological network, OTB development, R&D, thesis and post-doc : the most important needs expressed by users. ■ Such purpose can only be met through Relationships between Thematic and Methodology partners : Methodology interest/competence areas list ↔ Thematic studies topics Joint technical work, mainly (and logically) in the framework of Thematic validation studies. ■ Thematic studies should/could also be the place for “inter-WG work” when covering common interest applications (agric & hydro; coastline & risks; coastline & hydro, …) : share of data, experience, results… ORFEO Preparatory Program – GT2-5 meeting-16/03/2009– CNES Paris 42 Defence WG Needs Contribution to other WG ‘s product sheets ■ GT1: Maritime security (cf. vessel positions et maritime security product sheets) MNE sur zone d’estran (cf. costal line, bathymetry product sheets) ■ GT2: Grands évènements (cf. fiche 1) Asset mapping (cf. fiche 7) • • population density Évaluation de la traficabilité/ praticabilité des accès Aide à l’optimisation de l’intervention pour crises avec préavis Suivi de marées noires (cf. fiche 26) ■ GT5: Caractérisation du fond des rivières (cf. fiche caractérisation des plans d’eau) ■ GT6/7 illicit crop monitoring (cf fiche cultures non éligibles) Illicit activity monitoring (cf. fiches coupe rase) ORFEO Preparatory Program – GT2-5 meeting-16/03/2009– CNES Paris 43
