Fondé en 1987 par l’auteur Frédéric Przybyl et le chanteur Eric Tillerot, MAGNESIS est un groupe
bourguignon dont le cinquième album, « Les gens de… », est celui de la pleine maturité. Olivier Gauclin Tetu
(guitares), Frédéric Munier (basse), Sylvain Camusat (batterie), J.P. Matelot (claviers, programmations),
Caroline Ridley (chœurs) et E.Tillerot en sont les principaux compositeurs. Après quatre albums (« Les Voyages
De Mikado », « Les Miroirs Aux Défauts », « Absinthéisme », « Etang Rouge »), les « Troubadours du Rock »
s’offrent toutes les audaces et réalisent ici une ambitieuse synthèse d’un Rock Progressif au son moderne,
proche du Marillion période Fish et d’un univers médiévalo-onirico-fantastique à la Ange. MAGNESIS est la
rencontre improbable d’ « Au-delà du délire » et de « Clutching At Straws » réalisée et produite avec un talent
plus que convaincant : hautement jouissif !

MAGNESIS was created in 1987 by the writer F.Przybyl and the singer Eric Tillerot. It’s the fifth
album by this french band, and definitely their best so far. The musicians are: Olivier Gauclin Tetu (guitars),
Frédéric Munier (bass), Sylvain Camusat (drums), J.P. Matelot (keyboards, programming), Caroline Ridley
(vocals) et E.Tillerot. The “Troubadours du Rock”, as they say, have created an ambitious and surprising fusion
between Marillion (from the Fish era), and Ange. Their music is a Neo-Progressive Rock with some seventies
touch but also a really modern and powerful sound. Their texts and singing recall Ange’s world, from the “Au
delà du délire” ’s era. Perfectly played and produced, “Les gens de…”is a magnificent Prog’ album!
