Education
Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, Reims, France
 PhD in Inorganic and Analytical chemistry, 2013; Dissertation topic: Study of transmetallation
mechanisms of macrocyclic and linear gadolinium complexes at physiological pH for MRI.
VIT University, Vellore, India
 M.Sc in Chemistry, 2010 with CGPA of 8.97/10
Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, India
 B.Sc in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Botany, 2008 with distinction (84%)
Research experience
Post-doctoral research: IPHC, Department Sciences Analytiques, Université de Strasbourg, France, July
2014 – January 2015 (Research advisor: Dr. Véronique HUBSCHER).
 Study on the Impact of radiolytic degradation of ligands (TODGA based ligands) and their effects on
process safety (SACSESS Project).
 Analyses of Interactions between ligand (TODGA derivatives) and metal ion (lanthanides: La, Eu
and Yb), followed by the ligand’s degradation products for complexation ability with metal ions.
 Pioneered efforts on liquid-liquid extraction study of metal ions in heterogeneous phase using
Microcalorimetry. This information will be adapted for extraction of actinides from nuclear waste.
Doctoral research: Groupe chimie de coordination, ICMR, Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne,
Reims, France, 2011-2013 (Research advisors: Dr. Françoise CHUBURU and Dr. Isabelle DECHAMPS)

Study of transmetallation mechanisms of macrocyclic and linear gadolinium complexes at
physiological pH for MRI.

Physicochemical parameters such as thermodynamic stability and kinetic inertness of novel
gadolinium complexes are investigated in the presence of endogenous cations near physiological pH.
Masters research: SEESIB, ICCF, Université Blaise Pascal, Clermont Ferrand, France, January 2010 –
June 2010 (Research advisor: Dr. Jean-Louis CANET).
 Efforts for development of efficient synthetic route (Click chemistry) to synthesize a wide range of
new ligands and complexes with rare earths for Bio imaging applications.
Research Interests
 Coordination chemistry of d and f block elements
 Physico-chemical characterization of metal complexes using spectroscopic, electrochemistry
(potentiometric) and calorimetric techniques
 Solution chemistry
 Solvent extraction chemistry
