Bretagne. C’est une excellente
alternative aux Laminaires en
thalassothérapie du fait d’un
meilleur
arôme
et
d’une
concentration plus douce en iode
et certains oligo-éléments.
Wakame is an algae cultivated in
China and Brittany as well. It’s a
promising
alternative
to
Laminaria for thalassotherapy as
it presents a lighter aroma and as
it is safer due to a lower lever in
iodine and some trace elements.
WAKAME
Le Wakame est une grande algue
brune de la famille des Laminariales.
Elle se présente sous la forme d’une
base fertile spiralée surmontée
d’une lame de 2 à 3 mètres à
nervure centrale. Elle pousse dans
des eaux claires et froides (max
15°C) et se récolte à partir du mois
de mars.
Wakame is a tall brown seaweed
belonging to the Laminaria family. It
can reach an overall length of 2-3
meters. It is found mostly on
sheltered reef areas from the
intertidal zone down to 15-20 meters
deep. It grows in clear cold water
(max 15°C) and is harvested early in
March.
