Situé sur un motu face au mont Otemanu, Le Méridien Bora Bora a été entièrement
rénové en 2010/2011 pour votre confort. Dans un décor à la fois moderne et
authentiquement polynésien, l’hôtel vous propose une expérience sur l’eau avec
ses 82 bungalows sur pilotis (dont 22 bungalows premium) et 3 bungalows lagon,
ou une expérience « plage » avec ses 6 bungalows et 4 villas (comprenant 1 ou 2
chambres). Les villas et bungalows plage jouissent d’un accès privé à la plage de la
lagune intérieure pour le plaisir d’un séjour au rythme de la nature. De plus, toutes
les villas disposent d’une piscine privative.

En Polynésie Française, la tortue (Honu en tahitien) est sacrée (Tabu)
depuis la nuit des temps. Bien que protégée par la convention de
Washington et les lois territoriales, l’espèce est actuellement menacée
d’extinction. C’est pourquoi Le Méridien Bora Bora a créé en collaboration
avec le Ministère de l‘Environnement son Centre de protection des tortues
marines. Installé dans notre lagune intérieure, ce programme lancé en
2000 veille à la protection des espèces en voie de disparition. Chaque
année, des tortues de tous âges (du bébé à l’adulte) sont ainsi recueillies
et soignées jusqu’à ce qu’elles soient en état d’être relâchées dans leur
milieu naturel. Intégré au cadre exceptionnel de l’hôtel, ce programme
vous offre l’opportunité unique de vivre votre séjour au plus près des
tortues marines. Vous pourrez ainsi observer leurs soins et découvrir
librement leur mode de vie dans la lagune.

Otemanu, Le Méridien Bora Bora was completely re-imagined in
2010/2011 to offer the ultimate in comfort. Done in a contemporary
style which retains the Polynesian touch, the hotel is made up of 82
overwater bungalows (including 22 premium), 3 lagoon bungalows, 6
beach bungalows and 4 villas (1 or 2 bedrooms). Both villas and beach
bungalows enjoy private access to the inner lagoon beach for those who
would like to be truly immersed in nature. All the villas have a private
swimming pool.

Using soft and modern colors with natural materials, all our bungalows
have been redesigned to offer a perfect Polynesian atmosphere. The
overwater bungalows feature a large glass-bottom panel in the floor,
unique in French Polynesia, offering breathtaking views of the colorful
underwater ecosystem. A ladder from the balcony allows you to enter the
lagoon easily whenever you wish. Premium bungalows have a privileged
location and incorporate a wide terrace facing Bora Bora and famous
Mount Otemanu. Beach bungalows and one or two bedroom villas with
private pool, ideal for family or friends getaway, are located along the
private lagoon. They offer all the benefits of a private beach complete
with hammock and surrounded by trees and lush vegetation.

In French Polynesia, the turtle or ‘honu’ has been worshipped for
as long as people can remember. Today, although the turtle is
protected by local laws and the Washington Convention, much
care is needed to make sure it doesn’t become extinct. Our Turtle
Sanctuary was founded in 2000, in association with the Polynesian
Ministry of the Environment. Located in our inner lagoon, it is the
only one of its kind in the world. Here a team watches over the baby
turtles given to us or born at the center every year, protecting them
until they grow to a size which will make them safe from predators
when they are released into the ocean. Integrated into the amazing
environment surrounding the hotel, this program also enables you
to see the turtles being cared for, watch them feeding and discover
freely their lifestyle in the lagoon. A truly remarkable adventure.
