Franchise Expo Paris 14
Franchise Expo Paris
14th to 17th March 2008
Show report
The 27th Franchise Expo Paris attracted 439 exhibitors (+3%) and the international appeal of the
show continued to grow, with 21.6% of the exhibitors being foreign in origin (17 countries), and
national pavilions from Spain, the USA, Italy and Australia complementing the International Village.
The 2008 show was packed with new offers and the 75 sectors of activity represented at the show
attracted more than 80 new franchise systems, particularly in the sectors of building, services,
decoration
Franchise Expo Paris also provided an opportunity to shine the spotlight on franchises working
towards sustainable development through a specially laid out area at the entrance to the show, a
conference and a guided tour. Visitors were also invited to state what influence the commitment of
a franchisor to sustainable development would have on their choice of franchise. 62% of the visitors
questioned felt that this would be a factor.
Franchise Expo Paris did, however, record a slight drop in visitor numbers, clashing as it did with an
electoral weekend, difficulties in getting to Porte de Versailles but with 28,431 visitors flocking to
the show over its 4 days, it remains the leader for franchising and networked business. Its exhibitors
confirmed the increasing quality of the visitor profile.
Whether they were shopkeepers, entrepreneurs or investors, the visitors were satisfied (92%*) with
the 27th Franchise Expo Paris.
