COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
Release your creativity through Film making
Discover your own style
Make a short film in a team of five
TEACHING METHODOLOGY:
Film making
15 students Max.
During the twelve sessions of the course we will complete three short films.(3 to 5mn)
After a first class of introduction the class will be divided in three groups.
Each group will be working for two to three sessions on the collective writing of a script
for a film in the gender of their choice. There will be a constraint of theme that will be
decided.
We will then proceed to prepare the shoot : casting, location props and costumes. The
actors will have to be chosen from the students in the class and each student should at
least have a small part in one of the three films. At this point we will also choose the
director, set designer, costume designer, editor... for each film.
It will be a great opportunity to understand the elements and team members necessary to
film making and try out various roles in that respect.
OUTLINE / ASSIGNMENTS
Each group will dispose of a two hour session for the shooting of their film with the help
of the other two groups.
The course will come to a close with the editing and the screening of the films !
Work of preparation and post production (specifically the editing) will be required from
the students outside the class.
Every Step of the process will be supervised and we will use scenes from various films
to feed our imagination and analyse the strenghth of an image in terms of story telling
