Defined in close collaboration with players in the French maritime industry, it offers operational knowledge of naval and offshore construction and offshore resources engineering. Objectives and career opportunities ! The course prepares students for the employment in the maritime engineering industries, including those involved in the design, development of maritime machineries, shipbuilding, power generation, offshore oil and gas production, marine renewable energy and naval Partner companies Among partner companies for conferences, lectures, internships, employment of graduates: architecture. On completion of the degree, the candidates are eligible to occupy managerial positions in ship design offices, offshore companies, shipyards, boatyards, within France and abroad. TRAINING Programme The programme gives an advanced knowledge of project management related to the maritime sector. Students acquire tools to understand and prepare for future changes and to meet tomorrow’s challenges. They are trained to take into account all possible sources in a constantly evolving economic, political, ecological and social environment; running of major projects incorporating cost, profitability and reliability assessment aspects. > Areva Renouvelable > Bureau Veritas > DCNS > Doris Engineering > EDF Énergies Nouvelles > Enertrag > IFREMER > Principia SAS > Saipem SA > SubSea 7 > Total 1 semester: core curriculum st The first semester of the programme is composed of general engineering courses, with a special stress on technical basics: hydrodynamics and structure modelling for maritime engineering, with a systemic approach of marine structures. 2 nd semester Option « Naval architecture and offshore engineering » Carried by ENSTA Bretagne, this option prepares engineers to design and assess new ships and offshore structures. The programme will provide students with knowledge of material behaviour together with factors influencing the dynamic behaviour of offshore installations. n n Option « Offshore energies engineering » Carried by ENSTA ParisTech, this option trains engineers for the explication of marine energy resources, from fossil fuels to renewable energies: oil and gas production, offshore wind, wave and tidal power. 3 rd semester: internship The 6 months internship as a junior engineer in a company leads to the writing of a Master’s thesis that is defended in front of a jury composed of academics and corporate professionals.
