Health and Safety Notice
Welcome to Angels Desserts. We hope you enjoy your visit and to ensure your safety whilst
you are with us, please take a moment to read this brief Health and Safety Notice and sign
and date it at the bottom.
1. In the event of a Fire:- Please leave the building in a calm and orderly fashion by
your nearest safe exit, leaving your belongings behind. Please remember your nearest
exit could be behind you. You will be directed to all fire exits in the house keeping
brief talk. A member of staff will assist you to the nearest safe exit. All fire exits are
lit. Please go to the far side left of the car park for roll call. Please do not leave the
car park before instructed by Angels Desserts staff.
2. Access to the bakery:- When entering the bakery, please ensure you use the hand
sanitizer foam to the left of the bakery door. Alas due to the nature of the working
bakery, should a member of staff believe that you are unfit due to alcohol, drugs or
any other substance misuse, we will have no choice but to refuse you entry. There
will be no refund in this circumstance.
3. Footwear:- As emailed to you, your footwear must be of a full shoe, non-slip, flat
and comfortable. Please remember that you are going to be standing for the entire
time. Inappropriate footwear will not be permitted into the bakery.
4. Hair:- If Long, needs to be tied up and neat.
5. Jewellery:- As we are a working bakery, we cannot permit jewellery with small
stones, or hang through earrings. These could accidentally end up in some of our
ingredients.
6. Nails:- Legally nails should be nail polish free, short and clean, however as you are
making cakes for your own consumption we have relaxed the rules. Therefore please
ensure your nails are clean underneath, if unsure; please request a nail brush to clean
them. You are welcome to wear gloves which we will provide.
7. Security:- Whilst every effort will be made to ensure the safety of your personal
belongings (kept in our locked Staff Room) we cannot accept responsibility for any
loss or theft.
8. Knives:- Our knives are sharp and must be handled with care. If you cut yourself a
blue plaster must be worn to prevent contamination.

Spills:- Please ensure you clean up any spills from the floor and notify everyone
to prevent anyone else from slipping.

Hot Plates:- The hot plates may still be hot, long after they have been turned
off. Move around the Bakery with caution.
11.
Hot Sugar:- In this class I will be using hot boiled sugar to show how to make
crème mousseline. Please listen carefully to avoid anyone being scolded.
12.
Allergens: Nuts:-Nuts are grounded up on these premises and are used in some
desserts. Please ensure you seek medical advice should you have a nut
allergy, to ensure your safety whilst with us.
 Gluten Free:- We can accommodate a Gluten free diet as long as we
are informed in advance with plenty of notice.
 Lactose:- Alas we can not accommodate a Lactose free diet
 Egg Free:- We may be able to assist, please ask in advance.
